Go gourmet in Lake Garda
A summer holiday to Bardolino is bound to involve lake swimming, waterfront dining, and sunset admiration. But if, to you, travel is all about good food, then this is the place to indulge.
Bardolino is famed for its excellent wine, and with wineries scattered about the hills to the east of the town, there are plenty of chances for tastings. You’ll also find two Michelin starred restaurants within 20 minutes’ drive from the town centre. Then, for more humble dining, don’t miss the picnic opportunities presented by the Thursday market, which sells fantastic speciality cheese.

A flat boardwalk links Garda town (North) and Lazie (South) so whichever direction you decide on, you’re in for an easy and picturesque ride. Meanwhile, the mountains and hills surrounding Bardolino offer an array of more challenging routes.

This vibrant town has some real gems to explore. Visit 12th century church San Severo, with its aged frescoes, and original 9th century ruins. And there’s Chiesa di San Nicolo, with its impressive pillars and weekly live classic music performances.
Top spot for a dip
Lilos at the ready! There are several great pebble beach spots in Bardolino to suit everyone. Lido Mirabello is the closest to the town centre but families with young kids tend to favour the grassy shores of Lido di Cisano.
