As one of the most photogenic towns on Lake Garda, it’s little wonder that Limone is also one of the most popular. Visitors flock to the water’s edge to enjoy a morning espresso, or an indulgent gelato at, well, anytime really.
When you’re not admiring the lake view from the promenade, meander through Limone’s stone-paved street and treat yourself to a spot of shopping. You could visit the Tuesday market and pick up some fresh fruits for a day on the pebbly beach. Then, if you’re up for getting active, take to the water and hire a kayak or paddleboard.

Take a stroll round the town’s ancient churches, such as the landmark Chiesa di San Benedetto, or photographer’s favourite Chiesa di San Rocco. And, don’t miss Chiesa di San Pietro, surrounded by olive trees, it’s the oldest church in Limone.

Famous for its beauty, the bike path that runs between Limone and Riva is particularly stunning. This cliff edge route includes a large section of suspended wooden path, which makes for a truly unique cycling experience.
