Hôtel LAPIAZ & Spa - FLAINE

Flaine

Best French apartments ever in over a hundred ski holidays. If I could give a ten star rating I would. 
Brilliant apartment, with a size far beyond the normal shoe box I've often had in France.
Cleanliness throughout the complex is exemplary. Excellent swimming pool, which our kids thoroughly enjoyed. A very laid back bar, with an excellent drinks menu.
Ski lockers were generous, with boot heaters that worked. Sledges loaned for free at the very efficient reception.
Beginners' lifts right outside the building. Easy access to many bars and restaurants.
On top of all this, we had excellent private lessons from Eduardo and handy transfers from Geneva, all via the Alhena.

Super apartments in Flaine.

This location, true ski-in ski-out was perfect for a mini ski break. 

We were very impressed with our (standard) double room, spacious, light and bright and well equipped. 

Hotel staff when we needed them were helpful and friendly.

All amenities were excellent, from the boot room and lockers to the spa facilities, the gym looked good, but after a day on the slopes we gave that a miss. 

The onsite bar and restaurant (Bauhaus) was great for chilled apres ski, and we enjoyed a lovely dinner there too.

Flaine and The Grande   Massive is a fantastic resort.

Would highly recommend.

Lovely hotel perfect spot

This is a true ski in - ski out hotel.

We stayed in a family room - it had 2 bedrooms, 2 showers but one toliet. It was a good size and nice luxury room for a family of 4 with teenagers. 

The breakfast was nice, not massive but had a bit of everything, 

The spa area with pool and sauna was nice to have at the end of the skiing day. 

The most amazing thing is the ski locker room exits on to the beginners slopes - this is the most ski in /ski out hotel I think I’ll ever find - and the access is suitable for beginners, which I think is rare to find.

I would recommend this hotel to families for the ease of access. We have also done a YouTube video with more information about the hotel and resort of you’d like more info. 

We would visit here again.

Definitely recommend this hotel - as true ski in ski out for beginners

If I could give ten stars I would. I've been in many chalets and apartments in France over 50 years of skiing and usually it's a matter of accepting pokey rooms because they are used as a base for skiing. These apartments were superb in every respect.
We had a two bedroom, prestige apartment, for two adults and two children, which would have comfortably taken six adults. Check in was seamless and reception staff were always cheerful and helpful.
The apartment was spotlessly clean and had excellent cooking and cleaning facilities. The double bedroom had ensuite facilities and even its own TV. The balcony had seating for six and overlooked the carpet lifts and children's ski school.
Our kids made good use of the pool and games room. The ski lockers were huge and clearly designed by skiers and, surprise, surprise, the boot heaters actually worked. Access to the pistes was just a few yards from the locker room doors. This was a real bonus with two fairly young learners.
The hotel bar is a very relaxing place to have a drink and there is an on-site restaurant. We didn't use this, as their children's menu is a bit lacking in choice. There are plenty of other places to eat and drink within a few minutes walk, as is a supermarket.
We borrowed sledges from reception, at no extra cost, and these could be used on the slope by the restaurants and shops or by the carpet lifts.
Check out was quick and easy, after the typical clean up of the kitchen area. Apart from this, all we had to do was leave used towels in the bath and take the rubbish out to the bins.
The kids didn't want to leave and, I suspect, neither did the adults.  Overall we had a fantastic stay.

Great for a trip with kids.

Perfect location with stunning views and ideal for anyone looking for true ski-in / ski-out convenience.

We stayed in a two bedroom suite which was spacious, comfortable, and well equipped.

There were a few downsides for us:

1.	The layout is a little unusual and it took some time to get our bearings.

2.	The hotel lacks atmosphere and can feel quite sterile. Both at breakfast and in the bar during the evening, it was very quiet and almost a little uninviting.

3.	Breakfast felt overpriced for what was offered, and the quality of the food did not quite match the cost.
