Chalet Face - LES CHALETS COVAREL

Val d'Isere

We just got back from our trip to Chalet Bellevarde with Le Ski. It was fantastic. Joash and Chessie were our chalet staff and they did a brilliant job at looking after us all. They were mid-twenties and it really made a difference having slightly more mature chalet staff as they were very sensible and hard working. They did a great job cooking kids tea for our children and were very accommodating at making little changes to the menu and routines to try to suit everyone's needs in the chalet. They even got hold of Monopoly for our boys to play together.
The chalet rooms were nice. Our balconies were south facing and a great place to enjoy the view and the sunny weather. Val Pizza was a 3 min walk away which provided a great option on the chalet staff's two nights off.
The catering was great. The chalet was nice and warm. The kitchen was an integral part of the sitting room/dining room area and it made it feel very sociable. 
The chalet staff transferred the baggage from the coach at the start of the trip and back onto the coach at the end of the trip which saved us from lugging it all up the hill to the chalet. 
I had been worried that the chalet was a bit far from the slopes but the ski bus went from the bottom of the hill and was very regular so it wasn't a problem. 
All in all, we had a fantastic holiday with Le Ski. They seem to be a great company who look after their staff and their guests really well and we would definitely book with them again.

Fabulous holiday with Le Ski

We had an amazing time staying in Chalet Bellevarde. Our hosts were extremely friendly and accomomdating. Our room was perfect size as was the bathroom. Food was delicious and just what you need after a day of skiing. The Crystal team overall were so helpful. From greeting us in the airport, waking up to friendly faces and walking us to our bus on the last day we felt looked after. Thanks for a great stay!!!

Excellent week, great hosts, delicious food!

Just back from a wonderful week in the Chalet.
The service received in the chalet was five star, as was the food which really surpassed our expectations after reading some of the previous reviews. 
Our group was in awe at how professional, friendly and helpful our hosts (George, Ellie and Flora) were, they were so eager to help with any request and really made a positive impact on our week. The chalet itself was a perfect size for our group of fourteen, and was just a five minute walk from the slopes.

Good Chalet, Great Hosts

There was a lot of snow so difficult conditions early in the week. Crystal communicated well about conditions and lifts. Great chalet hosts especially Tom. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Food was good and well presented with lots of free wine. The chalet was full so 14  adults and the table and living space was cramped for this number. We hired a ski locker during the week for 18 euros for 3 days which we would recommend as it is a little way from the slopes and due to weather conditions the very local bus did not run. Our room was in the eaves but as we are not tall it was fine with lots of floor space. We had a great time at the wilderness experience on chalet staff night off.

Ski holiday Jan 2018

The chalet was great for a straight forward family ski holiday. 6 of us went, the chalet accommodates 14 in total. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the linen and towels of good quality. The location is a 10 minute walk to the ski school meet point and 3 minutes from the main street through Val d'Isere. 
The best feature of the chalet is the staff, they made us so very welcome, the food was really very good (much better than we have had at most other catered chalets) and they were just really pleasant to be around. Special thanks to Annie, Tom and Tom.  Unfortunately we didn't have great weather during the week and hence spent more time in the chalet than we would have expected to on a ski holiday. The hosts made it really pleasant and all in all it was a good week. 
We would definitely consider staying in the same chalet again and Val d'Isere is a fabulous resort with (with reasonable weather) endless amounts of fantastic skiing in stunning surroundings, great restaurants, bars and a buzzing apres ski scene.
