I stayed one night with my wife at this charming chalet-style hotel run by a Dutch host, Wouter, whose family fell in love with the Großglockner region. The rooms offer a lovely view of the village, the pointed church of Heiligenblut, and the surrounding mountains. The comfort is good, and there’s a sauna to relax in after a day of hiking. The breakfast is warm and satisfying. An ideal stopover for a pleasant break in this beautiful part of Austria.

A well-located chalet for a stop in Heiligenblut

What a beautiful hotel surrounded by the most awesome view of the mountains. Without a doubt one of the nicest and prettiest hotels we stayed in while touring Austria for 10 days. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the breakfast was beyond delicious. Wish we could have stayed more than one night. 😁
