We spent a week at the chalet pre Christmas ! We were two families with teenaged kids aged 17 to 20. From the moment we arrived till the moment we left we were treated like royalty! The chalet is so well appointed! Brilliant position ski in and out!  Chris the manager is super professional! Nothing was too much trouble! He even arranged for boots  and skis to be brought to the chalet for us! He arranged all passes, transport everything!!! The team were awesome! Out chef Mitch surpassed himself ! Brilliant cook and gorgeous food superbly matched with Chris' extensive wine selection! Literally had a new wine with each course! The derives Freddie and Hamish were lovely! They did so much more than just drive! So so helpful ! They were both brilliant cocktail artists!!! The gorgeous ladies ellie and Timmiti were great company , kept the chalet spotless and catered for our every need! The hot tub was splendid! We had massages perfect after a day on slopes!!!! 
The bar was really well equipped champagne on tap! Fab!!! I just can not fault this place!!! 10/ 10 x

Chalet la Tene is out of this world!  We visited in January 2011 and it was without question the most fabulous chalet we have ever stayed in.  We  have stayed in lots of great chalets in Val d’isere but most are either part of a complex or slightly further from town.  La Tene is fully detached and it just yards from Rond Point making it an easy stroll into town.  It is also fully ski in/ ski out so access to the lifts couldn’t be better.  The Chalet itself has been totally refurbished so although it still has old world charm, it has all the mod cons. All bedrooms are ensuite and each has digital tv, DVD player, ipod dock etc.  The steam room, sauna and massage room are much welcomed after a busy day skiing but the piece de resistance has to be the outdoors hot-tub.  I wasn’t brave enough to snow roll before jumping in though – maybe next time.  The food and wine was 5* standard – I had the waistline to prove it coming home. We will definitely be back!

A wonderful time had at Chalet La Tene due to the amazing renovation! 
It belongs to my brother and so it was a great surprise to return to the chalet after last years family ski holiday - it is a completely different place! 
The whole chalet is so luxurious it is such a pleasure to be in. The location of the Chalet is superb - sking off from the front door is amazing, especially for beginners like me. 
The bar, the fire, the catering were all great, not to mention the HOT TUB, steam room, sauna and much much more!! 
NOT TO BE MISSED!!

What a great week of skiing. All the normal hassles and faff of skiing had been thought through and minimised - from the transfers to the ski and boot delivery to the door of the chalet and the ski-in-ski-out location of the chalet.

The chalet itself was in pristine condition - the renovations having only just been completed. It is simply stunning, with wonderful near panoramic views of La Face (a black run back into Val D'Isere) on one side and back up the mountain on the other side of the valley. Certainly an unforgetable backdrop to dinner and breakfast. The remainder of the chalet is very spacious - unlike other ski chalets that I have been in, and did not feel cramped even though as a group we filled the chalet. Other key features that are definitely worth mentioning are the outdoor hot tub, the sauna and the steam room - all of which were used daily on returning from the slopes.

I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for an unforgettable, hassle free week of skiing!

Superb chalet, superb food, superb skiing - all in all a great week

I stayed at the gorgeous Chalet La Tene in December 2010 and it was fabulous! Perfect location - you can ski in to and out of the chalet, and it's a short stroll from the centre of town / bars & restaurants. Our hosts were very professional -  I think the Chef had just come from a 5* hotel in the UK, so the dinners (especially desserts!) were delicious. We loved hanging out in the big double-height living room upstairs (although the hot tub was pretty fun too ;-). Not cheap, but very much worth it if you can get a group of friends / family together... already pencilled in December 2011 ;-)

No expense has been spared in creating this beautiful chalet. The individually decorated en-suite bedrooms are spacious and the bathrooms, finished in marble, have baths and showers. There is an outdoor hot tub, with a sauna and hamman inside. The living area on the top floor has been raised to give a double-height ceiling with stunning views and provides a fantastic place to relax and dine. This is on-piste accommodation close to the town.
