We just finished a week over new year at this amazing hotel. 
It’s location is fantastic right across the street from the “grosser karbahn “ lift station- 3 min walk from the ski room to the lift . There are some stairs to climb to the lift just as an FYI . There are some ski school tickets are also bought from the same station if not prepaid . The ski rental shop is also across the street about a min walk .

The staff and food were out highlight of the hotel. Breakfast buffet was delicious with plenty of options for young and old . The 5 course dinner was great and with small portions doable every night . The kids menu as the usual kids typical food (chicken nuggets , spaghetti , fish fingers … ). You chose your meal options every morning for the starter and main course , the other courses are set but you can opt not to have them if you wish.  
The drinks are on the expensive side for my liking and I wax surprised to have been charged for tab water but that’s the same in every hotel. 

We only had lunch once at the hotel, which was delicious as all meals but expensive in my eyes. 

The room was lovley and big with a seperate sitting area for hubby and me to have some chill time after our son (9y) went to bed. 
The room and the whole hotel was very warm , so we just kept the window open all day to cool it down as we like sleeping cold . 

The new years meal was also special and 10 small courses but took from 7 pm (earliest start of dinner each day )   Until 10:30pm, which was a little late for our liking but does help stretch the evening until the midnight fireworks . 

Skischool was a little different to what we know of in Norway and France in that you don’t have to full 5 days you can just do 1 day if you want. This means the group might be different every day and also the instructor can change . We don’t like that as this means the instructor don’t know the level or improvement the kid has . 

We would definitely return .

Fantastic week, food consistently amazing, like being at a Michelin  restaurant, breakfast buffet delicious with lots of choice, staff second to none, best hotel staff I have ever experienced , can’t recommend highly enough. Only slight negative was hot in communal areas and bedrooms quite hot.

We stayed for a weeks skiing at the end of January. The hotel was amazing. Brilliant staff throughout the hotel and the breakfast and evening meals were exceptional. Position is very handy for the slopes and the spa is wonderful. 
We will certainly look to return to this beautiful place.

Exceptional from start to finish with one of the best teams of staff I have ever come across.

Overall the hotel is very pleasant and with good facilities in a very good location for the slopes and ski hire. Our rooms were incredibly hot and we found we had to have the door and window open (even with the radiators off) to cool it down at times which seems a bit of a shame (environmentally). Beds were comfortable, restaurant had a nice ambiance as did the bar area, and the pool (although modest) we enjoyed.

We felt a little let down by the welcome. We were met by an elderly lady who was quite officious and not particularly friendly and were ‘processed’ very quickly and functionally. She was resistant to our request for us to talk to the chef on arrival (one person in our family is coeliac and on a gluten free diet-so just we wanted to alleviate some concerns). Unfortunately, we were very dismissed in this regard and we didn’t get the opportunity to talk to the chef and on the first night they got very sick (possibly some cross contamination at the salad bar). We then got to speak to the chef and a manager and were able to reset somewhat and they then made a great effort to accommodate us thereafter. Interestingly, when the hotel calculated our bar bill incorrectly on the last night and after we had paid it, the elderly lady became quite friendly when asking us for more money.

On the whole I didn’t get the impression this was a particularly happy hotel. Some are very warm and friendly and although functionally everything seems to be there, the warmth was less so.
