We had booked our stay for our skiing holidays at Gaestehaus Gratz. Staff was not rude or anything but just seemed to not care at all. We missed the Austrian hospitality we love so much during our skiing vacations! Apartment was OK but is self-contained and did not provide a kettle, sink or anything (no kitchenette, plates or other supplies). Room was made up one time during our one-week stay which we didn't care about but as we had to pay 50Cts per person(!), per day for the disposal service, we would have expected that they empty the trash at least once a day. Also, we only got one tiny trash bin in the bathroom - so quite frankly, the per person and per day fee did not really make sense to us. Breakfast was served at the sister hotel next door but offered only few options, rolls were not fresh. So we went without that from day 3. We asked for a soft-boiled egg and it came raw which wouldn't have been an issue but the stamp on the egg stated non-organic and floor-pen which is actually the worst category after cage-egg (which has actually already been banned from the EU a while ago). We found that really disappointing as just steps away the property next door was filled with free-range chicken. The had a sauna which we didn't use as we found it really tiny. Still, even unused, they charged us 5 bucks for each sauna towel. noone told us that, it just happened to appear on our invoince. Altogether: a bit disappointing!
