I stayed at Hotel Olimpia in Cortina d’Ampezzo and I’d give it a solid 4/5. Even though it’s a 3-star hotel, the service, location, and overall value for the price make it absolutely worth it.

The renovated rooms are great — modern, comfortable, and well designed. Yes, they’re on the smaller side, but they have everything you need and feel fresh and updated. The breakfast deserves a special mention: excellent quality, just the right variety, and perfect fuel for skiing in winter or hiking in summer.

Massimo at the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful. We had a small electrical issue in our room and he helped us solve it quickly, which we really appreciated.

Parking can fill up fast, but honestly it wasn’t as difficult as it sounds to find parking nearby in town. The location is one of the biggest highlights — you’re just steps away from some of the best bars, restaurants, and shops in Cortina. On weekend nights it can get a bit noisy because of the bars downstairs, but nothing too bad.

Overall, I highly recommend it for the price-to-quality ratio. For skiing, you’re about a 5-minute walk to the ski bus stop (which gets you easily to Tofana — my favorite ski area in Cortina), and you can also reach another nearby chairlift just by walking.
