Take it from me. I spent over a month trying to find the right town and hotel to stay at in the western Dolomites. I literally have a 12 page itinerary for our entire trip planned out to the day. Let me tell you right now, don’t waste anymore of your time finding a hotel if you plan on staying anywhere near Canazei. Hotel Cristallo far exceeded our expectations. They have a brand new spa area that is immaculate, a fully stocked bar and a solid dinner menu. Not to mention the staff. In the first 10 minutes of being here Antonio, Carla and Axel have blown me away with their customer service. I showed them my itinerary and asked for their suggestions/tweaks and they spent solid time with me reviewing and overhauling plans to make sure we get the most out of Canazei and the surrounding area. Don’t pass this place up if you are planning to stay in the area.

Hotel Cristallo is the spot!

Great stay, we had 2 rooms on the second floor which were both a good size, newly refurbished and very comfortable. All the hotel staff were lovely and friendly and the food was plentiful and on the whole tasty.

The hotel was very close to the centre of the town so an easy walk back after enjoying some apres.

We used the spa area a couple of times but found the chlorine levels were quite uncomfortable. The steam room and sauna were better.

Canazei is a really pretty place with plenty of bars and restaurants to enjoy. Easy ski bus which takes you straight to belvedere gondola or Campitello for another fast gondola. I especially enjoyed the town swimming pool with a wonderful warm outside swimming area where you could enjoy watching the mountains and skiers whilst swimming in lovely warm water - I went twice!

My only negative would be the man on reception - possibly the owner, not helpful or friendly. It doesnt hurt to smile occasionally.

Pretty place to stay in the Dolomites

A great newly refurbished hotel at the start of the village. Bus stop in either direction by the hotel   The hotel is spotlessly clean and staff very friendly and helpful.   We stayed as a group of 4 friends and found the food ample with plenty of choice (if you have dietary needs they will cater for you)   I would recommend this hotel
