Room is big and matrasses are high quality. There is a balcony with a beautiful sight on the mountains.
We had breakfast and dinner and this was splendid.
The area is on the end of the Pitztall , quiet and good position for walking and visiting the highest cafe in Austria.

We ´ve been at Pitztal for the fourth time, first time in the Bergland hotel. The accomodation, the owners and the staff (esp. Alexander!!) were absolutely friendly and always ready to help, serve or give an advice. The room service was perfect, too. The only imperfectness was that all important written information were in Deutsch only, although speaking English quite good, we had to dig out our knowledges from the high school to at least to understand the basics of a conversation/menu. In these days of multilingual world, keeping the traditional, local-language-only concept is a bit old fashioned, although very nice and friendly. That´s why I cannot rate our stay there at the full 100%, but only 95%. Nevertheless, I do highly recommend the facility for exploring the region.

Ideal hotel for people looking for rest, nature, good cuisine !

Also in summer this hotel is the perfect spot to organise a cycling or hiking holiday.

E-bikes are available.

RATE_ROOM

We stayed here for three nights in November for a short ski. The hotel rooms are now all renovated and spotless. The food is very good (hotel has a good reputation when it comes to food) and the staff is friendly. Dining area can be noisy if there are large groups. Ski bus stops right at the hotel and takes you to mandarfen or the glacier in no time. The prices are very reasonable for the quality offered. We did not try the wellness area. We would return here

Nice family hotel

Ghent, East Flanders Province

We stayed in Feb2017 as a family of 3. The location is excellent, only 2 min drive from the ski-lifts or a very short trip by bus (which stops in front of the hotel). Room Mittagskogel was comfortable, seemed recently refurbished and very spacious. Food was excellent and plenty at both breakfast and dinner (we had HB) and we appreciated the flexibility in what the menu for our child was concerned (they were really nice and asking what would better fit him and this helped a lot, as he can be quite a fussy eater). Overall a very nice stay in this family run & long tradition hotel!
Only minor suggestion for improvement: the bathroom sink robinets would need an update/ change, as they can be quite difficult to fully close.
