Wonderfully friendly staff, very knowledgeable and helpful, especially the manager (Inita) so very helpful.
The beds were comfy, the room was very clean and had a great view.
It’s only a 10-12 minute walk from the centre of town and there are a good number of free buses during the day.
Their food was good and they have a lovely cosy bar.
I would definitely come back.

Wonderful cosy hotel

We were greeted by the most loveliest lady and quickly ushered to our rooms. I was on the top floor and did not have any trouble with noise from the bar down stairs. Room was large with a sofa and three wardrobes. Twin rooms sold as Austrian twins which is not the same as a usual twin room, basically a double. I complained about it and another bed was supplied within ten minutes. I am amazed at other reviews about the food, yes, there was not smoked salmon or caviar for breakfast but there was the usual continental fare of bread, cheese, meats, eggs, fruit juice and coffee of your choice. There was also toasters scrambled eggs and the most delicious bacon along with cereals and fresh fruit. Evening meals were excellent especially the soups that were the starters. There were two choices every night and a different dessert. Two negative comments, we had chips once, they were the crinkle kind. I have never liked them (personal preference) and the Carbonara was not to every bodies taste although I thought it was fine. The restaurant could be a bit noisy at times (music) but it would be turned down no problem if asked. The waitresses and bar staff were all very pleasant although they obviously not had any training regarding how to wait tables properly, but it was fine. Two floors up was a games room which led out on to the sun terrace, this room was wasted in my opinion. There was no lounge at the hotel, this room could easily be converted in to a snug of sorts with a few sofa's an open fire and a bit of a change of decor. The hotel itself is about 500m from the main gondola which can be walked in ten minutes (minus ski boots). There is a regular bus service just over the road which is free if you are wearing ski gear. The boot room is at the lower level of the hotel behind a locked door, which your room key unlocks and is quite big enough for the amount of guests at the hotel, boots were stowed on the usual ski resort racks which were heated. So down to the question everybody wants to know, would I stay here again? That is a definite yes .

Annual Ski trip, my first time in Austria.

Stayed in Feb/March 2024 as part of a ski package.

We were initially uncertain about the hotel after reading some of the reviews complaining about both noise and the food, but pleased to say that we did not have an issue with either.

We booked the hotel whilst looking for a cheaper ski break and ultimately for the price we paid it didn’t disappoint.

The rooms are pretty basic and ours wasn’t massive, but the bed was comfortable and it was cleaned every day and that’s all we needed it for. We asked for a high room away from the bar downstairs and were given one and never had a problem with noise as a result. Not sure how those on the floor 2 above the bar coped, but to be honest whenever we were in or walking past the bar at night, with the exception of one evening it didn’t seem too loud to us anyway.

Breakfast was your average buffet – bacon and eggs, cereal, yoghurt, bread etc. Not a massive amount of variety but enough. We did choose the half board option. Food was served in the bar every evening and we had no complaints about it. 3 courses, always starting with a soup and then a choice of meat or veggie main and a dessert. Unless they’ve recently changed their chef I can’t see what those complaining about the quality of the food were talking about!
The waitresses in the bar, though efficient, could have been a lot friendlier. On what was presumably their one night off they were replaced by a gentleman who was head and shoulders better at the job.

Location-wise the hotel is on the edge of town. A ski bus stops just outside and it’s about a 10-15 minute walk uphill to the main gondola station if you want to do that, which we did every day for the warm up! It helped that though the hotel has a ski and boot room, we hired out lockers at the gondola station for about 36 Euros each for the week so could just leave all our kit their at the end of the day and head straight off for the après ski.

Not ideal for families or couples who want to be out early to ski , owner and his family very helpful but the bar opening times isn’t ideal - open till 4am and have music super loud each night , one particular female bar staff was very rude and got very personal comment towards me and asked my partner to stay up to have shots with her - spoilt my holiday

The hotel is in a convenient location. Easy to catch the ski bus. Our group payed for lockers at the gondola, so didn't mind walking back. The rooms are lovely and were impeccably cleaned and tidied daily. The staff are all friendly and did go out of their way to help us. 

The only negatives is the food. The evening meals are essentially frozen food and frozen pizzas. The pizzas were very very burnt. Another negative is the noise from the bar below. If you have a room above it, not only is it very noisy but the base will vibrate your room until 4am. So would definitely recommend some ear plugs just incase!
