Stayed for one week mid August in a 'superior ' room which was in definate need of an upgrade, old carpets and curtains etc although it was spotless and cleaned daily. The balconies are like being in a fish bowl, no privacy screens in between just railings where you can see everyone and everything! Hotel is in a good location, breakfast was ample although the same every day. Breakfast staff were pleasant and quickly knew your drinks choice. Reception staff were OK although barely smiled or welcomed you unless you were German and a returning customer..
All drinks etc were paid at the end of your stay in cash only , so something to be aware of. The proprietor I'm presuming was the most miserable man who never spoke or even give eye contact. Lots of positives but also lots of things to be aware of.

We stayed at this hotel in early June 2025.

The hotel is ideally situated a minutes walk from the lake, 2 minutes walk to a large Spar supermarket and a stroll into the Bardolino centre for a vast number of restaurants.

The hotel provides a great breakfast to start the day, with fresh fruit, cereals, sliced meats and cheeses, breads, sweet and savoury pastries and excellent coffee.

Staff are all brilliant from the warm welcome at reception, to the restaurant and bar staff (who know your drinks order after one day) to the room maids.

The pool area is clean and quiet, with easily enough sun loungers for the number of guests. The pool is not big, but is most welcome to plunge into on a hot day.

Been here 3 times previously and have booked to go again in 2026.

Another great overall experience in Hotel Capri Bardolino. We had a suite which was absolutely fabulous, superb breakfast every morning and very helpful staff.
