Booked very late minute (day before arrival). The de la Vanoise is in the centre of Val Claret and the Tufs lift is only 15 metres from the rear entrance to the hotel. The hotel reminded me of when I first started skiing in the eighties- small, friendly and proper ski-in, ski-out. Owner Paul was very friendly and helpful. Lovely little bar with comfy seats and views up the mountain. Good shower and bath in my room. Breakfast great and you can add 3 course evening meal for €20. Eceeded all my expectations. I will be back.


Great stay in a friendly, snug little hotel

We spent 2 nights at the Hotel de la Vanoise during a hiking trip in the Alps.  Very nice place, run by a wonderful couple and their very friendly dog.  Rooms are large.  We had a king size bed plus a bunk bed in our room (just for the 2 of us).  Had a nice sized walk-out balcony.  Plenty of ventilation.  Very nice breakfast buffet — nothing hot but plenty of choices.  We also ate dinner at the hotel for both nights.  One night we had a raclette and the next night we had a very nice salmon filet.  We really enjoyed the hotel and loved hiking in the surrounding area.

nous lisons à regret votre commentaire relativement négatif à notre sujet... nous sommes également surprit car nous avons été courtois, polis et à votre service comme à notre habitude avec nos clients... 
Peut -être vous même n'avez vous pas prit, le matin, le temps de tourner la tête pour nous dire bonjour et donc n'avez vous pas vu nos sourires et entendu nos voix....? 
Nos balcons sont de taille "normale" soit entre 3 et 5 m2 selon les actégories de chambre. 
Ce n'est pas grave de ne pas vous revoir en nos murs...

Average hotel and expensive. The owners were not particularly friendly. The rooms were clean but basic and the balcony area very small. We had a room for 3 people but there were not even enough plastic chairs on the small balcony to accommodate. 
I would be very reluctant to stay here again, there are plenty of other hotel in Pralogne to choose from.

We returned again for a second year in a row.  The hotel is right on the blue slope with a red joining it, so you can ski too and from the door.  It is easy to park your car here on arrival. The hotel has a swimming pool, jacuzzi, etc. overlooking the piste.  The rooms are very clean and cleaned daily, view from the rooms is lovely, we had a family room for 3 with a balcony, the bathroom had slippers, bath robe, hair dryer, shaver sockets and towels.  The hotel has a bar and this year it was warm enough to drink outside whilst the sun was still up.  Breakfast is a basic continental style with nice cheese, hams, etc  and you can boil your own eggs.  Dinner is very good food and the wine menu is reasonably priced.  We had lunch here outside one day too, which was lovely.  If you like a small well located hotel I would highly recommend staying here.  It is just above the chair lift and the Vanoise Express.
