Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am truly sorry to read about the experience you and your family had on the day of departure, and I would like to sincerely apologise for the distress and embarrassment this situation caused.And I would like to follow up with a few important clarifications, while remaining fully respectful of how upsetting this situation was for you and your family.

First and foremost, I would like to reiterate my sincere apologies for the miscommunication and the unsatisfactory handling of your departure. This moment did not reflect our service standards, and I fully understand that it left a very negative impression.

At the same time, I must clarify one point: at no time were you, your family, or your children asked to leave the hotel. The information communicated was that the hotel was reserved for a private event later that day, and regrettably this was explained poorly and without the necessary sensitivity. Your children subsequently decided on their own to proceed to the train station, and as a hotel we are of course not in a position to prevent any guest from leaving once they choose to do so. Nevertheless, the way this situation unfolded — especially regarding communication and timing — remains our responsibility, and for that we apologise.

I would also like to address another aspect with transparency. It came as a surprise to us to see that, beyond the departure experience, other areas of the stay were also rated negatively, as no concerns were raised with us during your time at the hotel. We always strongly encourage guests to share feedback while they are with us, as it allows us to react immediately and correct any shortcomings. I would therefore genuinely appreciate your clarification: was the overall stay disappointing, or was the negative impression mainly linked to the departure experience? Your feedback on this point would be extremely valuable for us to understand the full context and to improve where necessary.

Once again, I am truly sorry that your stay ended in this way. Your feedback is taken seriously, and we are using it to further strengthen our internal communication and guest handling procedures. I hope you can accept my sincere apologies, and that despite this experience, you may consider giving us another opportunity in the future.

I reserved two rooms at this hotel and, on the day of check-out, after vacating the rooms at 12:00 p.m., I requested that my luggage be stored until 3:00 p.m., when we were scheduled to take the train, as the train station is located directly in front of the hotel. Our intention was to have lunch with our family at one of the hotel’s restaurants until it was time to leave.

However, we were informed that the entire hotel had been booked by an English guest for a high amount, and that no other guests would be allowed to remain on the hotel that day. I find this information completely unacceptable, as we were not informed of this situation in advance.

The situation became even more serious when, after I had already left our luggage in the care of the reception desk, my husband and I briefly left for a quick purchase. Upon our return, we were shocked to learn that our four suitcases had been handed over to our children, who are 14 years old, and that they  had 5 minutes to leave the hotel. This was embarrassing, irresponsible, and completely unacceptable.

If the hotel intended to require all guests to leave on that day, reservations should have been blocked in advance in order to avoid placing guests in such a humiliating situation. Regardless of the fact that a guest booked the entire hotel for three days, all guests must be treated with respect and care, especially when minors are involved.

What an amazing stay. While it was the shoulder season and there were certainly less people in St Moritz, the service and professionalism of the staff never ended!

From their policy of in-room beverages being “on them” to an absolutely stellar breakfast to complimentary train, bus and cable car rides, the experience was top notch. 

We were in room 322 overlooking Lake St Moritz. It was spectacular. The layout was perfect. The technology top notch. Literally they thought of everything. And being directly across from the train station made everything extraordinarily easy. 

It’s close to all the shopping and they bent over backwards throughout the stay. Our 3 nights was wonderful. 

TOPPER: my girlfriend forgot her very expensive tennis bracelet and necklace in an open hotel safe. They contacted us immediately and had it sent overnight to our next hotel in Zermatt!! Man, I loved this place!!! Bravo!
