We stayed here for 3 nights while in town visiting the Dolomites. Our stay at this hotel was fantastic! The room was super cute and spacious with lots of shelves and spots to keep our stuff organized. The room was very clean and the bed super comfortable. The shower had fun lights in it, which made me refer to showers as “disco showers” while we were there. Breakfast every morning was well stocked and ample seating. We drove here from Verona, and the hotel had a parking lot (although like everywhere in Europe the spots are small, so try to rent a small car). The location for this hotel was great, far enough from the center of town to be peaceful, but we were able to walk everywhere in town easily. All the staff members were friendly and welcoming. I wish we spent more time in the Dolomites. I hope to be able to visit again and if I do, I will stay at Hotel Alpina again!

Lovely Hotel!

I was not a guest of this hotel Villa Alpina but of the next-door hotel and to my hotel (Hotel Panda) i would return any time.

But i write a report on Villa Alpina because bad behaviour should not go unnoticed. Villa Alpina and the hotel i stayed in share a mutual driveway for the parking lots and parking lots are adjacent, marked by a plate with the name of the hotel. 

On my arrival day, i drove in with my car, quickly got out to check names on the plates to find a parking lot of my hotel. The hotel manager of Villa Alpina opened a window of his house and told me that my hotel has parking lots further away. I got into my car and drove to the first parking lot with the name of my hotel. When i had parked my car and got out, the hotel manager loudly shouted at me, aggressively throwing his arms in the air: "Back! Back! Go away! Your parking is in the backyard. Go away!". I was perplexed, said "okay" and drove a few meters further. But where i had parked, there clearly was a plate with the name of my hotel, i even took a photo. 

To me it speaks volumes how a hotel manager treats people that are not guests of his own and how little patience there is. Even though i was clearly entitled to park my car there, i would not have had any problem with a kind request to re-park my car. After this experience, i surely will not be staying with Villa Alpina any time.

I am not sure why this hotel is getting such high reviews, perhaps we were just unlucky, but our room was so poor, with no curtains and dated and old furniture and room. It really was more of a hostel feel. We did request a room with 2 beds and this was all that was available so perhaps it was the worst room in the hotel, but it left a very poor impression The location is fabulous and the breakfast was poor with cold scrambled eggs etc. We were not impressed at all but thankfully only staying one night and it is right in the centre of town.
