Loved everything about this mega cheap new years eve stay.  The greet hotel is attached to the nextdoor ibis styles so check in and customer support was available next door. The hotel was substantially cheaper than other alternatives, very clean, beds super comfy and the room was in good condition, compact and great value for money. The communal areas of both hotels were bright clean and modern. My 6 year old especially enjoyed sleeping in the bunk above our bed. Maybe only issue was the room was quite warm and no spare loo roll provided but we got one when we asked. 

The staff at the ibis were fantastic, super helpful and very friendly going out of their way to be kind and considerate, this included making my son a hot chocolate after they'd turned the hot water off after our loooooooong walk back from Geneva after the celebrations and then offering us remaining breakfast after it has already closed or the offer of early lunch.

Location was a bit far out from the city but again it was commutable.. Just about... on the way out we took a bus and tram into the city taking about 40 minutes. When returning from the evenings fireworks and festivities we took the late tram and as the bus had stopped running we walked the last 30 minutes by foot. Other than one road that didnt have a path and wasn't lit (but was safe to walk along on the grass) the walk home was fine. Id definately stay here again.

This achieved 3 stars because of the price but otherwise would have received 2 stars .

Plusses - the hotel is clean basic and cheap

Downside you have to arrange your own transport - the hotel DOES NOT have a shuttle. They simply give you a link to a website . You book your own vehicle with an external company via this. The confirmation emails go in junk (which cause a problem ) and it’s no cheaper than the airport taxis ( around €30  May 25)

The room is very basic - no hairdryer, kettle etc and one towel pp. you have to ask at reception for a hairdryer

The hotel is remote no restaurants etc close by

There is public transport into Geneva - you get the bus ( one minute from hotel ) and then a tram. The  ticketing system however is not easy to understand ( a local helped us) and as the hotel is in France no free travel card available. 

As a tourist I would not use this hotel again - perhaps suitable for business customers with cars ?
