Vars is situated in the departement “Hautes-Alpes”, at the entrance of the regional nature park of Queyras. This French commune is composed of 4 small districts including « Les Claux » (1800m to 1950m), which constitutes the heart of the ski station. Vars constitutes together with Risoul the « White Forest » area (Foret Blanche) extending from 1650m to 2780m. This area counts 180km of ski trails including 110 trails, 55 ski lifts with a gondola and 7 detachable chairlifts. The ski station is largely equipped with snow cannons. The holiday resort The Carlines is ideally situated at the foot of the ski slopes of Vars les Claux and close to shops and other facilities. It also offers a breathtaking view on the surrounding mountain chains. Buildings are situated about 200m away from the 1st chairlift (Peyniers) and about 500m away from the heart of the ski station and the gondola of Chabrieres. At the heart of the station Vars Les Claux, the Carlines resort which is facing south, is composed of 18 rooms et one apartment 10-12 pers for renting.
