Summit Lodge Boutique Hotel by Paradox

Whistler

We stayed for one night when passing through whistler.

Firstly the good;

The price of the hotel was great. We booked last minute so was very happy with this. The location is also great, a few minutes walk from the shops and main area in Whistler.
Check in staff and reception are very helpful and always willing to answer questions too! 

The bad;

Not really the hotels fault as such but the car park is awful… spaces are so tight it’s nearly impossible to park and get out of the car in most spaces.

The room was quite dated, the bathroom was tired and the bed wasn’t the most comfortable. But the main issue was the air con! The room was so hot yet the air conditioning unit is placed next to the window with the curtains right above it meaning you either leave the curtains open and don’t use the air conditioning or you shut them and don’t get much benefit. I appreciate most of the time people won’t need air con but on a hot June evening it was needed.

Also we were told we would get a free bottle of wine upon booking. We didn’t get this.

Top Hotel

Liked  · We loved the location! The staff were very friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed the kitchenette in the room.

Disliked  · The hotel is in need of major upgrades. Our room had a lot of wear and tear, and although it was clean, was very run down. The beds were decently comfortable, but they sunk in near the heads of the mattresses. The TV was not easy to use, and we had to have a maintenance person come and show us how to use streaming services, as it wasn't as easy as a click of a button (it had to be paired with your phone). The coffee and coffee maker were extremely budget, and the coffee tasted very watered down. The pool was quite small, but we did enjoy not having hotel staff linger around and enforce rules, which allowed our children to be loud and have a lot of fun.

Amazing location and friendly staff, but rooms need major upgrades.

Wonderful place to stay! Close to everything, but not noisy. Very relaxing stay. The front desk staff were beyond friendly and always willing to assist. Thanks Caris for your wonderful service!

Great Family trip

Rooms were beautiful, clean & comfortable. Easy access, very friendly guest services, everyone we met here were very kind, hospitable, welcoming & knowledgeable about what to do, see & eat.
