Some friends and I went to Courmayeur for a snowboarding trip. We loved staying in the Attic. There was plenty of space for everything and a well equipped kitchen. The hosts were incredibly nice. They came to find us when we got turned around and even let us change so we could hit the slopes since we arrived early. Anything we needed they were there to help.  It is about a 5 min drive to the Dolonne lift with the options of outside parking or a parking garage near the lift. It's an easy 15-20 min walk into the pedestrian area of town for restaurants and there's a grocery store across the street from where you park near the apartments. We'd definitely stay here again.

My brother and I have been to CAV Emile Rey for a long weekend in Ffeb 2016. 
We found it very welcoming, warm and charming (it was indeed the residence of one of the most famous alpine guides of Courmayeur). The apt for 2 people is big and well structure (you can cook with no issue of smell / space). Windows and terraces provide a lovely view on the mountains and town of Courmayeur and the little town of La Saxe.
The distance to the centre is reachable in 10 mins walk(if you need grocery, the closest place is in town). I would strongly recommend it and go back there again.
