Best for beginners - Seefeld is a relaxed resort with gentle slopes, speedy 30min transfers, and one of Austria’s prettiest settings. St Johann in Tirol is a true beginner hidden gem - featuring wide, confidence-building pistes, an excellent ski school, and great-value accommodation options.
Best for snow-sure slopes - Kaprun, linked with neighbouring Zell am See, makes use of the Kitzsteinhorn glacier for all but guaranteed great snow all season long - fantastic for Easter and Christmas ski breaks.
Best hidden gem - Igls, just above Innsbruck, is a wonderfully peaceful hidden gem for families. Small, friendly, and just a 30min transfer from Innsbruck airport - this is a proper little find for family ski weekends.
