Find the Perfect Ski Resort for Your Star Sign
Ever wondered which ski resorts match your star sign? Well, you're about to find out! For a bit of fun, our very own Mystic Marcus, founder of Heidi and know'er of the mountains, gives us his top ski resort horoscopes.
Aries (March 21 - April 19) – Daredevil, courageous and energetic
The first sign of the Zodiac, an Aries loves to be number one. Enjoying a challenge, they'll always push themselves on the slopes. See that person hurtling down the mountain at breakneck speed? They'll likely be an Aries! Ski hard, party hard is their mantra, so the apres ski has to be on point.
Aries will love Chamonix in France - take on the Vallee Blanche by day, and hit the world-class après by night.
Taurus (April 20 - May 20) – Warm-hearted, placid, and loving
Taureans enjoy relaxing! They love massages and delicious food and are most at home in serene, natural environments surrounded by soft sounds and relaxing aromas. Favouring ski resorts with luxury spas and gourmet restaurants, some may call them lazy hedonists, but that's what a holiday is about, right?
Taurus signs will love Selva Val Gardena in Italy- breathtaking Dolomites scenery, sumptuous food and exclusive spa hotels.
Gemini (May 21 - June 20) – Sociable, Fun-Loving & Lively
Geminis are spontaneous, playful, and delightfully erratic! This star sign is interested in so many activities that it comes as a double. Yes, they can be a bit chaotic, but boy, they can ski! Gemini's like big ski resorts with lots to keep them busy, on and off the slopes.
Geminis will love Morzine in France- a vast ski area with over 6020km of piste and a fun, year-round town with something for everyone.
Cancer (June 21 - July 22) – Kind, romantic and creative
Cancer is the fourth sign of the Zodiac. Associated with family and home life, Cancerians enjoy sipping hot chocolate by a roaring fire surrounded by friends and family. They tend to favour quieter ski resorts with home-from-home digs and mountain loads of traditional charm.
Cancer signs will love Les Carroz in France – a quiet, family-friendly resort with traditional chalets and log fires aplenty.
Leo (July 23 - August 22) – Passionate, enthusiastic and lively
Passionate, loyal, and notoriously dramatic, Leos are represented by the lion. They love to be the centre of attention but are generous and warm-hearted. Leos are drawn to the most Instagrammable ski resorts with great apres-ski and are so madly in love with snow sports that a ski resort bares even their star name!
Virgo (August 23 - September 22) – Reliable, helpful and modest
A Virgo is an ultimate perfectionist who always seeks to improve their skiing with heaps of practice. Virgos enjoy structured ski trips with lots of pre-planned activities. And they usually take control of group ski holiday bookings - don't be surprised if a spreadsheet is involved!
Virgos will love Zermatt in Switzerland – pre-planned snow activities aplenty with something new every day.
Libra (September 23 - October 22) – Sociable, romantic and flirtatious
Libras value balance, harmony, and justice. They also enjoy chatting and meeting like-minded skiers. Libras love skiing, shopping and apres-ski in equal measures, so they are best suited to a ski resort with an abundance of all three. Everyone loves a Libran - their innate generosity means they're always buying the apres ski drinks!
Librans will love Cortina d'Ampezzo in Italy- incredible skiing, sophisticated après and some of the best shopping in the Alps. La dolce vita!
Scorpio (October 23 - November 21) – Determined, exciting and passionate
Scorpio is one of the most complicated, dynamic and misunderstood signs of the Zodiac. They are incredibly emotional and crave intimacy. They like to be challenged on the slopes but want an intimate ski resort to explore in the evening. They will thrill you with escapades of mid-air falls, generally caused by an argument with their partner on the ski lift; there's never a dull moment with a scorpion!
Scorpios will love Soldeu in Andorra- its enormous ski area has something for everyone, and a small, sociable village.
Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21) – Freedom-loving, optimistic and dynamic
This ninth and last fire sign of the Zodiac is associated with travel and expansion. Sagittarians are always on a quest for knowledge. They like to travel to new, unexplored places, so hidden ski gems are their thing. Some say they can be foolhardy, so if you're new to skiing, and a Sagittarian tells you a black run is easy, don't listen!
Sagittarians will love Jasna in Slovakia - some of the best off-piste skiing in Europe for those in the know. Great for families too!
Capricorn (December 22 - January 19) – Practical, ambitious and humorous
A Capricorn loves nothing more than ascending straight to the top of the mountain! Represented by the mountain goat who loves to climb new heights, they'll reach the summit of any challenge and achieve all ambitions. Capricorns enjoy improving their skiing each season, so they are best suited to resorts with a variety of challenging slopes and terrain.
Capricorns will love St Anton in Austria - enough terrain to test all skiers, no matter their ability, and fun après to match their sense of humour.
Aquarius (January 20 - February 18) – Independent, original and honest
Innovative, progressive, and revolutionary, an Aquarius loves nothing more than to explore new places. Aquarius is the most humanitarian of all the star signs and enjoys striving to make the world a better place. The best resorts for Aquarius are eco-friendly and a little quirky. They get on best with the Geminis (party animals) and Librans (who buy all the drinks), so they'll have a great time wherever they go!
Aquarians will love Serre Chevalier in France - an authentic ski resort and one that is working hard to become the world leader in sustainable skiing.
Pisces (February 19 - March 20) – Escapist, imaginative and romantic
As the final sign, a Pisces has learnt every lesson of the other stars - the joys and the pain, the hopes and the fears. They enjoy exploring new or emerging ski resorts to keep ahead of the trends. The big new trend for the year ahead? Booking a ski holiday with Heidi, of course!
