Welcome to walking in Seefeld

  • Over 650km of trails spanning five villages
  • Dramatic gorges, sparkling lakes, and cascading waterfalls
  • Short flight, short transfer - perfect for a weekend
Seefeld walking holidays have long attracted visitors whose idea of a good time is days spent soaking up the sun on Alps ridge routes, followed by clinking frothy, cold steins back in town.
Offering stellar views and fresh mountain air as soon as you step out of your hotel, Seefeld hiking holidays are sublime from the get-go – with over 650km of marked trails to explore across the Austrian Tyrol's high plateau.
Families will love exploring the Leutasch Spirit Gorge walk, which ends at a 23m waterfall, and the splashy fun at Wildmoos Lake — while the Rosshütte lift whisks peak-baggers further up the mountain for more challenging high-alpine ridge routes up Seefelderspitze and Reitherspitze.

How to get around Seefeld

How our self-guided Seefeld walking holidays work:

Our self-guided trips let you set your own pace, from the length of your stay, to how far you walk each day. But if you’re used to group or guided holidays, you might be wondering how you’ll get around? Well, it’s easy…

Getting to and around town:

Your airport transfer is included with your trip. Once there, you'll find Seefeld is highly walkable, with a pedestrian traffic-free zone that’s great for families. Plenty of hikes and walks also depart straight from the village centre, as do the chairlifts, making getting around a real piece of cake.

Getting to your walks and hikes:

Want to go further afield? Local buses connect up the plateau villages and a hop-on, hop-off shuttle runs every 20mins around the resort - ideal for little legs and free with your Summer Card. Alternatively, take the train to Innsbruck and Munich for some great sightseeing day trips.
