A last minute ski holiday can be a great way to guarantee great snow or even find a late ski bargain. Of course, there's always more choice the earlier you search, but if you have a bit of flexibility on dates or resorts, a last minute ski package can be a winner.
So if you're the spontaneous type (we see you), hoping for a steal, or want to take advantage of a late dump of snow - we're here to make it happen.

Let it snow! December is here, and with it, so is the white stuff. This week’s weather looks fantastic for those heading to the Alps and Pyrenees, where we can see an exhilarating and active stretch of snow across the mountains.
This week, the western and northern Alps are seeing 5-15cm of snowfall Monday through Thursday, followed by another stronger dump on Friday and Saturday. This is fantastic news for those travelling to St Anton and Zermatt and offers a snowy start to the season in the French peaks of Chamonix, Avoriaz, and Megève later next week.
In addition to heavy snow in the Alps, the season's first significant storm is expected to hit the Pyrenees this week. This bodes well for those looking forward to early-season skiing holidays in Spain and Andorra. Wednesday and Thursday should add heavily to snow totals at Sierra Nevada and the Grandvalira ski area, so there is heaps to get excited about.
For a last-minute ski trip, we recommend heading to the Swiss and Austrian slopes. Think Sölden and the high altitudes of the Stubai Glacier. Alternatively, plan a trip to Val Thorens or Tignes in France, where fresh snow flurries look set to continue falling on the already packed, snowy slopes.

With Heidi you can book your ski holiday up to 2 days before departure.
Can I still book ski hire for a last minute ski trip?
You can book ski hire at the same time you book your last minute holiday, up to two days before departure.
Can I book a lift pass for a last minute holiday through Heidi?
You can book lift passes through Heidi up to 7 days before departure. However, if you book within this period there’s no need to worry. You’ll still be able to pick up a lift pass in resort and they definitely won’t ‘run out’
How close to my ski holiday can I book ski lessons through Heidi?
Ski lessons are subject to availability, so if you are booking a last minute ski holiday for a busy period such as half term, ski schools might already be at max capacity. It's worth checking in advance if this is important to you.
Any tips for booking a last minute group ski holiday?
If you are booking for a group we recommend letting the lead booker make a decision quickly. Trust them to snap up a ski holiday without too much back and forth as you could miss out on accommodation that can fit everyone in.
Is there anything else I should know about last minute ski holidays?
If you find a deal that you love, act quickly. Flight prices tend to rise quickly as the seats fill up, and accommodation providers usually have limited stock. If you can be flexible with your preferences, you might just find a hidden gem resort that you’d never considered before.
