The Hoferwirt in Neustift is most definitely our happy place! We stay most years and are never disappointed.
There have been a few changes this year which have been well thought through and executed.
The food and wine at the excellent value (5 course! half board) dinner are absolutely terrific. The food continues to be a mix of traditional and quite inventive, with a strong emphasis on locally sourced produce. The food is also superb at their alm, Tschangelair Alm, right by the road running up the valley towards the glacier
The hotel provides guests with the Stubai card which provides free access to a lot of the facilities in the valley including all the cable cars and the bus that runs up and down the valley and into Innsbruck.
The hotel is in a great location, is very comfortable and is spotlessly clean. The family that run it and the alm are really lovely people who couldn't make guests feel more welcome, and the same applies to the entire team.
We only got back this week, but already look forward very much to visiting again for a walking holiday next year.
