We are a family of 4 (children are 20 and 18) and we stayed here for 5 days over Christmas.  
We had an amazing stay here and cannot recommend it enough. 
The staff were all friendly and always available. The rooms are perfect for the location and the bar area is a welcome addition both during the day and for pre and post dinner.
The two highlights however are the food and the location. The breakfast everyday is exceptional. The variety and quality is excellent but this is overshadowed by the dinners. Everyday there is a four course dinner, with a range of choices, and the food is both plentiful and delicious. On Christmas Eve there were 10 courses and every course blew us away.
The location for skiers though is the best part of this hotel. The hotel has a store room for both boots and skis and one of the main ski lift is over the road from the hotel. Within a matter of minutes you are skiing next to the Matterhorn! Skiing conditions were perfect.
We had a brilliant holiday here and hope to come back again and again.

A perfect place to spend Christmas

Just spent a fantastic 8 days in Hotel Lyskamm. Booked direct which was a better price than through a company. Communication was great even before we arrived, the hotel got in touch to check how we wanted the beds in the rooms arranging, check our car licence number so we could drive into town etc. Small hotel run by a husband and wife team and a small staff number, all of whom were helpful and very friendly. We had 2 rooms (2 adults, 2 tweens/teens) and they put us adjoining which was helpful.  The rooms were very comfortable and had a kettle, coffee machine (dolce gusto) and some tea / coffee etc. We stayed half board and the food was excellent, really filled up on a delicious breakfast and, for the evening meal we had a small starter, choice of 3-4 1st courses, choice of 3-4 2nd courses and a set desert. All the food was delicious and the staff in the restaurant super kind, they catered for our rather fussy eater boys. Comfortable lounge area for after dinner or can easily enjoy a walk in town or, relax with the TV in the rooms. 
The location was fantastic, ski school was literally next door, hired the kids equipment from approx 100 yards away and, a main chair lift was directly across from us. Very easy to pop back at ski school pick up time if needed.
Altogether, would love to return, a brilliant hotel in a lovely resort.
No parking on site but, could pull up right outside to drop our stuff and then move the car to one of several free carparks in town.

Great, small and friendly, family run hotel. Brilliant location for ski school and a main chair lift. Centrally located.
