We stayed in the hotel everything was clean and well organised but the standout feature was the hospitality and kindness of the mixologist Davide and other evening staff that created an excellent evening ambiance to relax after a long day.

We stayed in the Principe delle nevi over the New Years period. The hotel is in amazing location and is absolutely beautiful. The majority of the staff are warm and welcoming and super helpful.  Special mention to Marco for being so kind and going above and beyond throughout our stay. Kareem and Benjamin were always on hand to drop us to and from the hotel with a joke and a smile!
The hotel has changed ownership in the last few months and this is more obvious in the restaurant. I am sure the service in the restaurant will improve as the season progresses. 
Thanks again for great memories and hopefully we will be back in the not to distant future

Warm and welcoming hotel in a super location

We stayed for 5 nights in Dec 25 and, whilst, we had a great time skiing, felt extremely frustrated with the hotel, particularly the dining and service side of things. Apparently the hotel has just changed ownership and this explains the change!
Start with the positives, Hotel is really well located with ski in/ ski out location. It’s about 5mins drive from town centre and the hotel drive you in and pick you up at your request. Great service. They also pick skis up from rental company and return them. 
Room, bar and spa area are all modern, clean and well presented. I had a massage and was very good. 
Spa area and pools nice (save outside being broken).
Negatives:
Main criticism, We had half board, however, after the first nights dinner, we decided to eat out for the remaining 4 nights. Some of the food was inedible. 
Breakfast was a similar experience, watery scrambled eggs etc and the service was shocking. Rarely asked if we wanted a coffee, had to catch waiters attention and when we did it seemed like an inconvenience. Last morning, manager served us and seemed to sigh a lot when taking order for 3 drinks!
Whilst the spa area was nice we had a couple of issues. I specifically asked before booking if our kids (11 and 14) could use the pool area and facilities and was informed via email that yes they could. This was a big thing for us, so I only booked after this was confirmed. Went to spa after 1st days skiing only to be told only over 16’s, I produced email to the contrary so they let them in on basis of being quiet and no jumping in the pool (which is absolutely fine and behaviour I would expect). They behaved, however on 2nd day we had exactly the same conversation with someone else and manager had to come and confirm okay again! My youngest didn’t want to go in 3rd day as he felt they didn’t want him in there!
Secondly, the larger out door heated pool’s cover was broken for the period of our stay so you had to book time in the spa area as less room. Told it would be fixed a couple of times but wasn’t.
Service, other than the drivers, who take you down to town, the masseuses and the lads behind the bar, felt the service was very lax. Particularly the dining room staff and the reception staff. 
Lastly, no entertainment at apres bar, which was dead. Apparently used to be busy and have regular music on under previous owners. 
Such a shame as hotel was highly recommended however heard numerous complaints similar to ours and people who have been multiple times said the change was severely evident.
Hope they get their act together.

Frustrating stay

Me, my wife and my daughter plus two friends have been  staying from Dec 13 to Dec 20 2025.
I am absolutely stunned by the sheer chaos and complete lack of service coordination at Hotel Principe Delle Nevi. This hotel markets itself as a luxury destination, but the operations are amateur at best. We paid a premium price and received less service than a 3-star property.

The Parking Scandal: The most shocking incident was the parking. We handed our keys over for valet service as booked. Hours later, our car—a Porsche Macan—was still sitting abandoned on the roadside, where we had initially pulled up. We had to spend significant time tracking down the keys and ensuring the vehicle was finally secured. This level of negligence is unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one at this price point.

Dining Was a Joke: The dinner experience was severely disappointing. The menu was so limited that on the first night, the two main options were pork and tuna—rendering the entire menu unusable for our group due to allergies and dietary restrictions. When we tried to order room service later in the week, the menu consisted of only two items (we have a photo). We were forced to spend extra money eating out every night because the hotel's "gourmet" kitchen couldn't accommodate basic guest needs.

Zero Service Follow-Through: The staff are abundant but completely uncoordinated. You will have multiple employees ask you the same question (e.g., "Do you want coffee?") but the request will almost never be fulfilled. The shuttle service was just as unreliable; we often waited 40 minutes for pick-up, completely messing up our ski plans.

A Stressful Ski Setup: The ski room is too small for this hotel. Every morning felt like a battle trying to get dressed in the cramped space because of the overcrowding.

Verdict: This hotel is a textbook example of over-promising and under-delivering. They are clearly understaffed in critical management roles and cannot handle logistics. Stay elsewhere if you value your time and peace of mind.
