This hotel was delightful.  Our room was clean bright and spacious, with no noise issues . It is located very close to the shores of Garda and quick walk to shops and restaurants.  The staff were available to answer any questions we had-especially about the ferry system.  While there we visited San Sirmone, Limone and Malcesine. Hotel Breakfast was delicious.  I would give the hotel six stars if I could.   I recommend wholeheartedly.

Stayed for 7 nights at this gorgeous hotel. Staff were absolutely wonderful, very helpful and friendly and  extremely patient at my numerous attempts to work coffee machine. 
Our room 107 was very bright and comfortable. The hotel was spotless our room was cleaned thoroughly every day. 
Breakfast was superb with everything you needed and constantly topped up. 
The pool was a welcome area to relax after a morning sightseeing.
Definitely will return to this charming hotel

Thank you for your review and for sharing your feedback. We are glad you appreciated our quiet location and proximity to the bus station and beaches.

We would like to clarify a few points regarding your stay: the room you booked was a double room that includes a sofa bed. Unfortunately, this was used without informing our staff, which may have affected your comfort, as usually we add an extra mattress on sofa bed when they are used.

Regarding the air conditioning, we showed you several times how to operate it directly from the in-room display. Despite this, the reception was contacted each time instead of using the control panel. As you know, a technician also checked the system during your stay and confirmed it was fully operational. After your stay we had no further complain about the ac in that room.

As for breakfast, we do allow guests to take small items such as fruit or a pastry to their room. However, everyday after you had a full breakfast, sandwiches and the equivalent of another full meal were taken by you to have later, which is why our breakfast policy was applied. Additionally, our buffet includes cooked items such as scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, bacon, sausages, vegetables, and usually an omelet, kept in a closed food warmer. We’re sorry if these were not noticed.

We stayed for 8 nights in a triple type room.yThere were one double bed and a single  bed with one side against the wall.The room was fairly compact.The air conditioner was fine during the day,however during the night it did not cool.We complained several times but the problem was not solved. The bed mattress was soft and saging in the middle, which made it uncomfortable. The breakfast was basic with no cooked food like fried eggs.You are not allowed to take any breakfast food items  to your room without a charge, which is unusual since we have stayed in several hotels in Italy without this rule. 
The hotel location is very good since it is situated on a quiet street but only 3 minutes walk to central bus station and the beach areas.

Just returned from a week at the Villa Anthea and the whole stay was fantastic. The staff are the nicest I have experienced in any hotel. The rooms are comfortable with everything you need , breakfast is lovely with a fantastic coffee machine and the pool area is the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring.

This was our first visit to Lake Garda and we couldn’t have picked a better hotel. The location was really good, only a 5 minute walk to the lake front, restaurants and shops. The hotel itself was very quiet and we never heard any other guests walking around or slamming doors, as you do in some hotels. The hotel was extremely clean in all areas.  The buffet breakfast was really good and catered for everyone. It was replenished as soon as something was running out, so you never missed out. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We were also given a packed breakfast for our last morning when we had to leave early for our flight. We can’t find any fault with the hotel and would definitely recommend it. Thank you again to the wonderful staff.

Wonderful hotel experience

Hotel Villa Anthea is a family-run hotel in the city of Garda. The cozy and welcoming environment allows guests to enjoy their holidays feeling like at home thanks to the courtesy and helpfulness of the staff. The property is located just a stone’s throw away from the city center of Garda and from there you can reach the harbour in a couple of minutes by walking. Moreover, it is well connected by public transport. You will not miss relaxation and sport: the hotel’s location is ideal to practice sports, as kite surfing, windsurfing, sailing, golf, hiking, biking, etc. thanks to the numerous sport centres nearby. Alternatively, you can cool off in our whirlpool and swimming pool where you can dive in the fresh water or have a drink at the pool. Around the pool you will find the Solarium area equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas where you can relax, recover your energies and enjoy the warm summer sun.
