This property on Booking.com known as Résidences de Mélisa La Foux d'Allos is scam and fake. We booked this property during our trip to France and even informed them on phone that we will be checking in and then suddenly local time around 6pm receive message (not email or phone call) to say that your booking is cancelled as we THINK that you did not arrive at 2pm as you did not have bedsheet and did not call us back.
I was driving on the road visiting as a tourist and then only job I have is to keep calling this property that ohh i am this many KM away, it is completely ridiculous. We were left in this mountain area with no room to sleep, have to travel few KM to find another hotel, eventually ended paying double the amount.
They even deducted full amount from my credit card when asked for refund, they are not refunding any money. Booking.com is worse too, they cannot get hold of the property to refund the money and they still have this property listed on BOOKING.COM. PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY ON BOOKING.COM COMPLETE SCAM AND BOOKING.COM WILL NOT HELP YOU AT ALL. Even one of the BOOKING.COM representative on phone said that this property is weird because their Terms & Conditions are that if you do not arrive by 4PM they cancel your booking. They have put this Terms & Conditions so they can scam people and deduct money from the customer credit card.
We are also hotelier with high rated property on BOOKING.COM but would never do this to our customer and trusting BOOKING.COM was our big mistake.
As a tourist you can get late while on the road and days in summers in France is long so it is weird that you have to check in by 4pm. Not to forget they are hospitality business but they will tell you that they do not speak English so call later when someone is there who speaks English.
Also this property is listed on different names on BOOKING.COM, TRIPADVISOR AND GOOGLE.
BE AWARE OF THIS SCAMMERS AS WE HAVE LOST THE MONEY.

SCAMMERS

We made a reservation and paid a 30 pc deposit two months before our ski holiday. We received a confirmation of the reservation and the money was debited from our account at that time. However 6 days before the checkin date we were told the hotel had overbooked itself and we therefore had no accommodation 
. Unacceptable 
We ended up having to cancel our holiday and the only thing the hotel had to say was whether we had found an alternative solution. We are still waiting to be paid back our deposit also.

Untrustworthy hotel

Terrific location IF you don't need to go to the ski school for any reason.  The chairlift is 30 seconds away, but if you need to take kids to ski school, it's a 12 minute walk up hill.  It was fine to do that each morning, but closer to the "center" would've been better.  If no need for ski school, it was the PERFECT apartment.  Clean, adequate kitchen facilities, nice pool (on the chilly side, but it didn't bother anyone). We had a 6 person room for 2 adults and 2 small kids (it would have been VERY small for 6 people).  The only complaint we have is the office hours are minimal (a couple hours each morning and each evening).  Getting a hold of a vaccuum was challenging and the checkout procedures were slightly painful (we had to have someone "inspect" our room before we could leave--ended up waiting an extra 25 minutes). Otherwise, it was a perfect hotel and I strongly recommend it!
