Great place to stay while in Aspen.  Walking distance to most everything. Not much snow but that didn't prevent us from enjoying ourselves.

The entire staff at the Gant is superb:  from the concierge, front desk, shuttle bus drivers and cleaning service.  They went above and beyond at every step of the stay.  I highly recommend the Gant  and I have no reservations about giving it my highest praise.

Regarding the fireplaces, for guest safety the old wood burning fireplaces have been replaced with top-of-the-line Net Zero electric fireplaces, which offer multiple flame styles and adjustable brightness settings. This change is clearly noted on the homepage of our website, and safety remains our top priority.

We also appreciate your comments about the café. Transparency is important to us, and your feedback regarding service charges, tipping, and grab-and-go options has been shared with the Origin team.

They do not have fireplaces anymore!  They have ALL been replaced with dimly lit LED candles.  I get the fire hazard, but LED candles are not a good substitute.  Restaurant tries to double dip with tips!

Otherwise, our stay was nice.  Unit was up to date and front desk staff / housekeepers competent and friendly.   The restaurant is pricey for what it is and not many grab and go options. Also, they include a 20% service charge when you are seated in the cafe and do not tell you.  Then you are asked to tip agin at the end.  Just a heads up if you are not a bill reader. 

They do have WSJ and NYT daily at the front office which we loved and the hot tubs were lovely at the end of a ski day.  And hot chocolate on Friday evening which was nice for the kids.

No more Fireplaces!

Overall, a great experience.  The facilities are well-kept and modern, including the on-premises restaurant, pools and fitness area.  The location is fantastic and, most importantly, the staff is extremely attentive to guests'needs
