Sainte Foy Tarentaise

We absolutely loved our week in Chalet Faisan. It was our first time in Sainte-Foy and we will definitely come again. Everything about the resort was lovely, brilliant skiing, lovely bars and restaurants, all at a human size. There were no crowds, just tons of space. The chalet is close to perfect. Beautifully designed and equipped, warm and easy to relax in. Bedrooms are super and the incredibly generous living room was the perfect place to unwind, when we weren’t sitting in the sunshine on one of several balconies which look out onto the piste. The hot tubs were well used and the spa is amazing.

Perfect weeks skiing

We have just returned from another wonderful week at Black Diamond Lodge. Our host, Danni was so kind, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We really appreciated the freshly cooked pastries and bread made each morning to order and the help with all our heavy luggage. Situated in a quiet area of the village with an easy red run coming back virtually to the door this is an ideal location for us. Access to the lift system is either by a short trip in the free bus which runs from just outside on the hour, a 5 minute walk up the hill or, if you have a car, parking is always available very near the main lift area for €1 an hour. We are sad that the restaurant , library and bar have been converted to apartments so there are no public spaces now (apart from the spa) but can see it makes total financial sense for the owners. Although we stayed on a ‘room only’ in the Presidential suite, which is fantastic with its own wood burner, private hot tub, wrap around balconies and huge bed, a quick peep at a couple of the apartments showed us they have been converted to a high spec and look awesome. We look forward to returning next year.

Great host, luxurious apartments in a quiet location, in a hidden gem of a resort

We stayed at Black Diamond Sainte Foy in mid January and honestly could not have asked for a better alpine experience. The Chalet Apartment Faisan was immaculate, beautifully designed, and felt both luxurious and genuinely cosy after long days on the mountain.

The apartment was incredibly well equipped, warm, and spacious, with stunning views and thoughtful touches throughout. Everything felt high end without being pretentious, exactly what you want from a ski chalet. The beds were extremely comfortable, the living space was perfect for relaxing in the evenings, and the attention to detail really stood out.

The location is ideal, peaceful and scenic, yet close enough to lifts, restaurants, and everything Sainte Foy has to offer. The Black Diamond team were fantastic from start to finish, friendly, responsive, and clearly passionate about making your stay special.

Sainte Foy itself is a gem, uncrowded slopes, beautiful scenery, and a relaxed atmosphere, and staying here elevated the whole trip. We would return without hesitation and would recommend it to anyone looking for a premium ski stay with a warm, welcoming feel.

Absolutely amazing *****

We stayed for Christmas last week, it was fantastic.  A lovely apartment, well appointed, with slopes outside the balcony!  The spa facilities were amazing, a real treat. The kids loved their holiday, Sainte Foy is a great ski resort, we hope to return!

Fantastic week in a superb location

Thank you for a wonderful stay at Chalet Chene in July. Stunning views and beautifully furnished in a block with a responsive concierge service. What a surprise to find St Foy in the summer as delightful as a winter ski season. Friendly small resort with fantastic walks, amenities, a great microbrewery and coffee shop amongst other things. Enjoyed exploring the valley and local area. Would definitely recommend!
