Came up for birthday get away. Was happy to learn the Breck Inn was pet friendly so it was a no brainer to get the pups out on the hikes or walk through town where they said hi to many more dogs! Breck Inn is a great place to stay, and even with other dogs there, we had no trouble with noise or other pups.

Weekend Getaway

The only good thing about this place is the bed was somewhat comfortable. Everything else was awful. The walls are paper thin — you hear kids crying, people screaming outside your door, and every hallway conversation like it’s happening in your room. At 25, I hate sounding like an old lady, but it’s impossible to relax here.

This place should honestly just be adults-only (dogs are fine). Crying kids and thin walls don’t mix, and it ruins the stay for everyone.

They don’t clean your room at all — not even sheets. If I’m paying to stay somewhere, I shouldn’t have to wonder if the last guest’s germs are still in the bed.

Winter guests: don’t expect snow removal. They literally hand you a shovel and tell you to figure it out. The hot tub? A joke. It’s just a lukewarm bathtub with broken bubbles, and when I got in there was black stuff floating in it. Disgusting.

Even worse, it doesn’t feel safe. The doors don’t lock properly, so you’re basically sleeping in an unlocked room. That’s unacceptable anywhere, especially at a place charging money for lodging.

Even locals told me they thought this place had been shut down because it’s so well-known for being trash. Honestly, that would make sense.

Save your money — anywhere else will be better.

Walls are thin, Breakfast is gross, Bedrooms are disgusting. I hope yall find new ownership

I really enjoyed my stay at BreckInn. The room was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable, which made for a great night’s sleep after a day in the mountains. The staff was warm and welcoming, always happy to help with any questions.

A couple of small downsides: the location is a bit far from Main Street, so if you’re planning to spend a lot of time downtown you may want to factor in transportation. Also, breakfast ends at 9 a.m., which feels a little early when you’re on vacation and hoping to sleep in.

Overall, though, BreckInn is a solid choice for a comfortable and relaxing stay in Breckenrid
