One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at! Very traditional and in an adorable countryside town. Great service, beautiful spacious room, comfortable bed, delicious and fresh complimentary typical Austrian breakfast. Above it all, the view was priceless from our balcony. I was sad to leave. My experience made me want to move here. 

We were unable to try the restaurant because of how popular it was, so make sure to book far in advance for dinner reservations!

Beautiful countryside spa & hotel

The Franzlhof has an excellent mini golf course which we thoroughly enjoyed playing  seven times in six days during our stay in Soll. However, the times the course is open need to be made clearer. Their website states 2pm to 10pm weekdays but when we went to play at 8.45pm on our last evening there, we were turned away as apparently you must start by 8.30pm, although there are no signs to say that anywhere. Having played so many times, we knew we could complete the course within an hour and therefore be finished within their opening hours. We even offered to play just some of the holes but they wouldn’t listen to reason and it was a bitter end to an otherwise sweet holiday. Five stars for a very fun golf course but just one for compassion.

Heartbreak Hotel

I’ve come here for years to play minigolf and mini-billiard with my family, we always have a few drinks and sometimes we stay for lunch. Always a pleasant stay except for now!
This time very unfriendly personnel, they only took tue glasses away from the table without cleaning it. Nobody asked us for our greenpasses or/and asked us to register.
After out drinks we’ve paid for the various activities and when we left I came two passes after my husband to ask if he already paid for the drinks, to avoid double paying. I was still on the terrace!! The unfriendly man accused me in front of everyone to leave without paying, while I was the one who walked back. When I explained the situation he was even more unfriendly. Also the misses didn’t show any sing of kindness.

Very unfriendly people

Breakfast was very bad. Very little to choose from and the food was not replaced so the trays were empty by 9 am and although we complained everyday to the one and only waitress and also in the front desk of the hotel, they didn’t replace the food.  Also, the other tables were with the leftovers from previous guests and not cleaned, quite unpleasant to see.  The breakfast service is not of a 4 stars hotel but you still pay for that.  Definitely will not return and do not recommend this hotel.
Regarding the Saunagarden:  small but decent sauna area but with one big problem.  Although is a 4-star hotel this area is shared with the camping next to the hotel run also by the them so expect to find the sauna area quite crowded.  It is not a quiet and peaceful site expected in a 4-star hotel since it is shared with guests not staying in the hotel.

4 Adults stayed for 4 days skiing. Stayed in the Holiday Homes. Extremely comfortable accommodation with great amenities. Couldn't fault it. Very welcoming staff and great breakfast. Highly recommend it. Could be incredible in the summer.
