Excellent location on the edge of the waterfall and right near the old center.  An idyllic traditional inn.  A varied breakfast that was served to the table.  Nice, spacious and very clean room and bathroom.  Breathtakingly beautiful mountain views from the breakfast room

Big thanks to the hotel owner and host for many great and useful recommendations regarding our skiing vocation in Bad Gastein. 

The hotel was neat and very functioning - and the owner was very friendly and accommodating.

We had a combination of two separate vacation parts in March 2022. First, two couples spent four nights at the Echo hotel, and then 12 friends spent the remaining four nights. The cosy hotel and the amazingly friendly staff made a great impression on both groups. Already before the trip, the owner, Henriikka, both suggested a variety of dinner restaurants, and took care of all our dinner reservations after we made our choices. Given late time changes in the group due to covid-19, a number of adjustments were also taken care of with a smile. 
That included five different airport transfers  too.
The hotel is very clean, and located close enough to the slopes, given that it is at the same level in a village known for its height differences.  
I can warmly recommend visits to the hotel!

I spent 3 nights at Echo with 7 friends of mine at start of February. We have heard recommendations from our finnish friends and Echo suited perfectly to our group’s needs! Small, homie, clean, free parking, fresh breakfast and the most friendly and helpful staff! I’m already missing Echo and the wonderful view from our room!

Very cosy hotel at Bad Gastein

I really liked this cosy hotel. It could almost be trendy because of its old-fashioned decor which borders on being kitsch, but it's not - and that's perhaps what makes it so special. Some people might not like the fact that it's a little worn down in places (floors), but I just hope it's not going to modernised. There're enough hotels to choose from if that's what you're looking for. Without the fun and friendly presence of Henriikka, the young Finnish woman who runs the place, our stay probably wouldn't have been as good as it was.
