What I liked:
- Good rooms (our room was recently refurbished)
- Very good breakfast with good range of options, including hot items

What I didn't like:
- Cleaners woke us up with loud conversation at 5AM.
- No working Wifi. I asked them to fix it, but they didn't.
- Very noisy location at night

The rooms are lovely, beds are comfortable and the extra toilet in the 2-bedroom suite is a bonus! Location is close to the train station & ski lift. Breakfast is decent with a couple of hot food options.

However, the rooms are very warm. While it was snowing outside, we had to open the balcony doors to let the heat out. We switched off all radiators, including the bathroom towel rod, for the length of our stay. It was still hot at night with the thick duvets. We couldn't risk leaving the balcony doors open at night because of the noise outside..

There is a club right opposite to the hotel which plays loud music until 2-3am. Sound-proofing in the hotel is not great and even with the balcony doors closed, we heard the music, people smoking & chatting outside the club and any cars going up & down.

The worst part of the hotel is the attitude & training of the cleaning staff. We were on a floor which had the cleaning supply room. Every morning from 6:45 am (and 5am on Saturdays), the cleaning staff congregated there & in the corridors, shared instructions, chatted, had a laugh and in turn, woke us up. One morning, we told who we think was the main cleaning lady that they were waking us up and her response was an 'Ok' with a shrug. The noise continued.

Saturday seems to be their check-in/check-out day and some people check out quite early so expect noise due to that too.

Wifi is hit or miss, especially bad when the skiers have returned. We reported it but nothing changed.

We stayed here for skiing and were poistively surprised by the comfort in the rooms, they look just like the pictures. We had a nice balcony and the windows to the street were very well isolated since if you opened them you could hear the noise from the bars and guests in the street but this was effectively cancelled out when closed. 

One problem was that the room was very hot, we think it was the floor heating in the bathroom that was overdimensioned or a lack of ventilation othern than in the bathrooms, that made it very hot and it was not possible to regulate other than always airing the room which is not very good for economy or environment and was difficult to do at night. Combined with very thick bedsheets it became very hot and sweaty at night. Otherwise pillows and beds were comfortable. Please turn down the heat if posible.

The road to the Ski lift is VERY steep, a hazard to walk in your ski boots while carrying skis so the fact that the hotel offers a room to store your skis is not very helpful as you simply have to pay 25 Euro per person/week to keep your boots and skis up at the lift station if you don't want to risk injuring yourself. I don't think I saw anyone keeping their skis in the ski room...

Breakfast was great, high quality foods and good selection, bread seemed freshly baked, scrambled eggs were home made (not from container as is common nowadays) and big selection of cold cuts, cheese and really lovely fruit. 

Dinner at Wildbad restaurant included in half board was good but not fantastic, main courses were high quality, salads mostly a bit dull and creamy, not very child friendly, and desserts uneven quality. Good  wines and nice service.

Great hotel, nice rooms, quiet with good isolated windows
