My friend and I enjoyed a fantastic girls' spa weekend at the Arpuria.  Everyone was so welcoming and helpful, we were always greeted with a warm smile and asked how our day was going.  Our room was comfortable and well appointed, with a great shower and Rituals toiletries supplied.  We had a small balcony which looked out over the town of St Anton and the mountains.
Although we were the only English speakers there, all the staff spoke excellent English and dealt with minor problems very quickly and cheerfully - we'd requested two single beds but when we arrived the room was made up as a double - Reception sent a housekeeper up immediately and she sorted the issue very quickly.  We also managed to lock ourselves out of the safe and again this was resolved for us by one of the owners within minutes.
Food was amazing and although the breakfast buffet is not huge, there is a great choice of fruit, cheeses, breads and cold meats and everything is of really high quality.  Cooked food is available on request.
We ate dinner every night in the hotel - they offer a Japanese omakase menu which we had the first night and this was amazing, really good flavours and great sushi (and I speak as someone who's visited Japan many times).  The main restaurant serves more standard local and international dishes - a good range of choices including a half board set menu.  Both my friend and I have food allergies and staff were really good about checking to make sure our food choices were ok and the kitchen was happy to adapt dishes where possible to ensure they were safe for us.
The wellness area is lovely, a nice pool with inside and outside hot tub areas.  There is also a warm salt room with reclined beds and a sauna as well as several different relaxation areas.  Children under 14 are not admitted to the hotel so the area was always peaceful.  Whilst the sauna is a nude area, swimwear is expected in the rest of the wellness area (not always the case in Austria).
The hotel is up a hill on the edge of the town so benefits from being very peaceful and quiet at night but it is a little way from the action.  We walked down and took a taxi back up as we were feeling lazy after an early start to our journey but it's perfectly walkable.  In winter the hotel runs shuttles down to the gondolas and provides free ski storage at the base so I wouldn't let this put you off.
Having visited St Anton and Lech / Zuers many times in winter it was really interesting to see the area in the summer without snow and without my skis!  Many of the lifts still run and there are some beautiful walks to be had in the mountains.  The Arpuria was a fantastic base for our long weekend and I would recommend it to anyone.
