Hotel garni Kappeler-Haus

Oberstdorf

I enjoyed my time in Hotel Kappeler-Haus. The room was comfortable (if on the small side) and the location was great. It was a fair walk from the train station but so are a lot of hotels. The view of the mountains from my balcony was lovely to wake up to. The lack of English spoken by the staff proved challenging at times, but nothing insurmountable.

The two things to be aware of are that the church bells ring every 15mins and if you run into traffic in town, it's usually a group of cows! Both brought charm to the town.

Lovely spot in Oberstdorf

Staff very helpful and breakfast fine but very poor soundproofing in bedrooms lets this hotel down. Bathroom modern if small, but bedroom slightly tired and a bit on small side. Balcony with view of mountains was good and hotel has outdoor pool and patio area although we did not use it.

Slightly disappointed.
