We just returned (husband and wife with our 3 daughters) from a week stay at Hotel Gotthard. This is our 5th visit to Obergurgl but our first stay in this hotel. Assuming we can get rooms we will not stay anywhere else again. The hotel is stunning, rooms were perfect, food 10/10, and most importantly ALL the staff were so friendly to us throughout our stay. I huge congratulations to the management who have perfected the art of running a Ski resort Hotel. We look forward to our next visit.

CANNOT WAIT TO VISIT HOTEL GOTTHARD AGAIN

Stunning view of the slope from our room (204). Beautiful room and fabulous shower. Staff all very friendly - lady on reception was so welcoming as was our lovely waiter. Outdoor jacuzzi was such a treat. There isn’t a better location in Obergurgl for ski in/ski out.

The most beautiful room I’ve stayed in skiing

We thought we were buying a premium service when we booked a ski holiday with Inghams. In fact we experienced a worse than basic holiday with really poor, ineffective and incompetent customer service from the resort rep and manager in Obergurgl. I do not appreciate when raising an issue using the excuse 'well  nobody else has complained!' - ha! the lowest common denominator of service. The hotel we stayed at allocated us one of the worst rooms and the worst restaurant table. The hotel told us that they allocated the best to their regular customers. Ingham's admitted this and did nothing to improve our situation.
I would never book with Inghams again.
If you want a basic service then I would use a cheaper package company or consolidator. 
If you want a premium service then I would use another company or book direct with a private transfer. The hotel did treat direct customers in a much better way.

For the past 15 years we have stayed in another hotel in Obergurgl, but since they couldn't ( rather wouldn't after 15 years of family holidays  !! )  accommodate us this year we tried the Gotthard Zeit. 
What luck we did. Accommodated our slightly odd dates with no problem.  Room comfy, food excellent, exceptionally wide wine list, nice bar area.  
Fantastic location with very easy ski in/out and nice locker room and lockers themselves. Beautiful to sit on the balcony with the sunshine overlooking the mountain with delicious apres ski buffet.
Service was also very good. I am afraid I forgot until now to write this review and so our waiter's name escapes me but he was so friendly, helpful and attentive as was his wife who also worked there. 
The only minor gripes were the room was very hot and having to pay for tap water at mealtimes.  Neither were dealbreakers. 
Otherwise we had a thoroughly excellent time and certainly won't consider returning to our previous hotel.
