Had a fantastic stay here while skiing solo in St Anton. All the staff are a credit to the hotel ensuring guests have a wonderful stay. I have severe food allergies and naturally I’m always nervous when travelling abroad. However, Corinne and her family and the staff went the extra mile to ensure I felt safe and was able to eat a fab menu during my stay. Special shout out to Anchor, Goran, Matteo and the chefs. Fantastic five-course meal every night and big breakfast to set you up for the day. Single rooms are simple, clean and comfy and just right for the price point. Showers could do with an upgrade to modernise them but not a dealbreaker. Fantastic atmosphere in the hotel bar at the end of the day with fellow guests. Free shuttle bus to and from the centre (5min journey) and bus stop right outside so getting around is super easy. You also get a free heated locker right by the gondola to store your skis, helmet and boots. Hotel has indoor pool, sauna and steam room to relax after a day on the slopes and never gets busy. Met regulars who have returned over and over again for many years while there being greeted like family by the owners and can see why. Will definitely stay here again if I return to St Anton.

Fantastic hotel where you’re made to feel like part of the family

We loved this hotel! I would 100% stay here again and recommend it to anyone. 4 of us college students on spring break stayed here for two nights. 

The food is amazing for breakfast and dinner. For dinner you get 3 options as the entree and I don't think you could go wrong with any of the options any night. Dinner includes a salad bar which was wonderful, a soup which was tasty both nights and a yummy dessert. We were blown away at every meal at how great the food was. 

The rooms are spacious, a little outdated which didn't bother me at all, but also very clean. There was plenty of room for 4 of us in one room. 

The ski storage room in the basement was extremely convenient as well as the morning shuttles to the lifts. The hotel is located a 3 min walk from the bus 3 stop which was super useful and free until around 7 pm. The pool at the hotel looked amazing, we were sad to not have a convenient time to enjoy it but that was our fault. 

The only negative I have about this hotel is that immediately upon arrival I had not the nicest interaction with the young women behind the front desk. The conversation started off with containing a lot of attitude which I quickly believe was because I am a young american women. When the conversation progressed she got nicer and then throughout the stay I was treated nicely by every employee. 

Overall I would go back to this hotel in a heart beat over any other hotel in the area. The included breakfast and lunch alone are enough to put the hotel on the highest pedestal in my book. The hotel provided the perfect ski in, ski out oasis.

AMAZING, WONDERFUL and PERFECT

The hotel was just as advertised both in terms of facilities, location and accurate pictures. 

A big plus is a heated ski locker is provided at the bottom of the Galzig lift free of charge via a voucher from the hotel. The number 3 bus stop is a two minute walk from the hotel, the bus runs every ten mins at peak times up until 7pm then you can catch night bus or get a taxi back. Getting on and off the slopes was very easy, as was dropping skis off after apres as the lockers are open until 7pm. 

Hotel was very clean, comfy beds, warm and powerful shower. Room a good size with a balcony and views over Rendl. Good variety for meals, with up to five courses every evening. Family and team who worked at the hotel were friendly and helpful.

Would recommend and return.

Great base for skiing

Stayed for a week half board for a skiing holiday.  The hotel is out of the centre of St Anton  a  bus ride which takes around 10-15 mins  there is nothing around the hotel itself.
Bus stop a five min walk from hotel with a fairly regular service.  The hotel is dated but has  a certain character, a good spa with pool steam and sauna. Room was ok with a balcony, WiFi very slow or not working.  Food was acceptable but not amazing,  breakfast did get very busy at times with long queues.  Dinner always a mixed salad buffet a soup and small main course and small desert, nothing to get excited about.  The staff were helpful and very informative, the young lady behind reception was really friendly and extra helpful.
Overall we enjoyed our stay .

Dated hotel but overall fine

Just returned from 2 weeks at Hotel Mooserkreuz (first week with friends) and can highly recommend it...

Hotel – Crystal transfer coach dropped us off directly outside. Very friendly arrival welcome from owner Heli and daughter Corinne. Hotel has 3 floors, and there is a small lift to ease access. Three tasteful restaurant areas, around the central buffet area, and usage varies with client numbers. Generally kept same table throughout our stay. Very comfortable lounge/bar area, and only noisy when the rowdy Dutch where around! Wi-Fi worked everywhere apart from the Spa (perhaps that's deliberate so you can relax!). Easy walk to the famous and extremely popular local bars: MooserWirt and Krazy Kanguruh, or the new Arl One with its roof-top dancers. Thought we might feel a bit isolated, as hotel is at the eastern end of town, and uphill somewhat. However, excellent views, reliable bus service, and nicely away from the noise of town.

Breakfast buffet 0730 – 1000 with bacon, sausage, scrambled and boiled eggs every day. Large choice of bread, meat, cheese, cereals, preserves, fruit, yoghurts, tea selection, coffee brought to table, and fruit juices. Dinner menu provided at breakfast for your choice that evening.

Dinner served 1900 – 2100 (last sitting 2030). Large varied buffet starter, with hot and cold options. Soup course. Smaller main course, with 3 options each day – meat, fish and vegetarian. Examples: goulash, schnitzel, pasta, different fish each day… Desert course. Cheese board. No drinks included, and a small charge made for tap water carafe. Half board seemed more than adequate!

Bar prices fair…about Euro 7 for a beer and Euro 10 for Negroni

Rooms – a little tired/dated, but very spacious, especially when compared to French resorts. We had spacious Austrian Twin beds. Heating varies throughout the day, but generally fine and ample to dry ski clothing or a little laundry overnight. Some rooms have balconies, but those at the front without had great mountain views of The Rendl.

Bathrooms – Reasonable size, with either a standalone shower or mixer over a bath. Hot water always available. Basic toiletries provided. Chamber maids do an excellent job, and faults are rectified the same day.

Spa – Quite a large indoor heated pool, with a few foam water weights if you feel the need. Very hot steam room and sauna, and although they only take about 8 people, there was never a wait. Relaxation area has loungers and chairs, and mountain views. Free spa towels provided. Euro 5 payable for a bathrobe.

Skis - Large convenient ski and boot room in basement (at ground level), but easier to use the free ski, boot and helmet storage at Alber Sports Rental Shop adjacent to the Galzigbahn.  Simply turn up with your hotel voucher and lift pass, and they will allocate a heated boot locker, and storage position for your skis & boards.

Hotel Shuttle bus – Free service on demand between 0830 and 1100 takes you to within 100m of Galzigbahn lift. Shuttle bus can be requested for return between 1530 and 1700, but just as easy to take the free No3 village bus, which runs every 10 minutes at peak times.

Ski Area – A little convoluted to ski over to Zurs and Lech, etc, and not really suited to beginners, as blue runs not always very ‘blue’. Also, returning there can be queues for the 6-person chairlift (Valfagehr Sesselbahn) after the Flexenbahn. Another option is to take the No 076 local bus that stops outside the hotel, costs about Euro 6, and takes just 30 mins to Lech. This gives you more time to explore onwards to Warth and Strocken. Fantastic access to off piste skiing in all areas, and the Red Diamond 'Ski Routes' are a great introduction for those nervous about leaving the pistes.

Walks – helpful map brochure supplied in hotel foyer of a selection of local walks, easily accessible by local buses (mostly free). One walk starts across the road from the hotel. Only an hour by train to Innsbruck, if you fancy a day off.
