Lauterbrunnen

Wow, wow, wow!!  We spent four nights and had such a wonderful experience here at Hotel Staubbach.   The view from our wrap around balcony gave us incredible views of the valley and town. The breakfast room provided a delicious breakfast and had a spectacular view as well.  Our highlight was meeting Adam, the manager with his charming personality and wit.  He was absolutely meant for this position.  We hope to return someday, Adam:)

Our room had an unforgettable view of the Lauterbrunnen valley.
Check in was handled with typical Swiss efficiency, yet with warm hospitality and we were given a refreshing drink.
We booked a small room but it still had a "grand". 
In 'rest' times you could simply sit on the balcony with a drink and absorb the wonderful views.
The hotel is well decorated and proudly displays its place in the history of Lauterbrunnen.
The hotel is less than 10 minutes from the train station, though a small village it has a decent, well priced restaurants. I think we had 2 dinners at Schuten - lovely traditional Swiss cuisine.

Unforgettable Lauterbrunnen view

This was one of the best experiences and definitely one of the best stays we have ever had. Starting with the staff, they are amazing and super friendly, always ready to help with anything. Hotel Staubach undoubtedly offers the best hotel views in Lauterbrunnen, and they were truly priceless. The great breakfast, a comfortable lounge, and everything else about the hotel makes you feel at home. I highly recommend it and will certainly stay here again next time.

A perfect stay with the best views of Lauterbrunnen

Hotel Staubbach, wonderfully restored old hotel, loaded with charm. We spent 4 nights there as our base camp. Very clean, ever friendly and helpful staff, giant breakfast with eggs and bacon etc…they actually had a special room with, microwave, refrigerator and utensils to eat dinner leftovers, what a novel idea…….the view from our balcony was unbelievably beautiful….easy short walk to the train station….J Lynch

A most wondrous hotel!

We had the pleasure of staying here for a few days in August. Adam was absolutely the best host! He recommended great restaurants and activities, helped with an unfortunately rental car issues, and even provided umbrellas for use on a rainy evening. The location is spectacular. The rooms are spacious and clean but Adam is what puts this location over the top and a must stay spot if you're planning to spend time in Lauterbrunnen.
