Lake Louise Inn

Lake Louise

We enjoyed our stay at the Lake Louise Inn. Part of the property has been renovated; we were in a room that has not yet. It was dated and small, however it was clean and comfortable. The Inn is located about 4 km from Lake Louise, but it is a steep climb to get there. If you are interested in going to Lake Louise or Marraine Lake (both of which I highly recommend!) it would be good to look into transportation options before you go. It is expensive to park at either. Park Canada shuttles are affordable, but you need reservations in advance. We opted to bike to Marraine Lake (not recommended unless you are a serious biker--it's 14 km up steep inclines) and to take the city bus (route 11) to Lake Louise. It's $5 each way, and the bus stop is right across the street from Lake Louise Inn. You can rent (for free) bikes at the Inn in 4 hour increments. 
Breakfast at the Inn is fabulous. SO good! 
Bill Peyto's Cafe is right across the street. The food is fantastic and reasonably priced. 

Comfortable place!

When we arrived we where put into a VERY small room and therefore I went to reception to enquire about an upgrade. The receptionist Giovanna was extremely helpful and offered two different rooms which we could view at a very reasonable upgrade price.

We choose the one bedroom Condo with kitchen and garden area which was fantastic for our stay.

The hotel itself is lovely and in a good location for the village stores and walks. The bus to Lake Louise was right outside and ran regularly (reception give you at timetable). The restaurant food was delious. The pool and jacuzzi was a great way to chill after a day sightseeing.

Fab stay

Great location within easy 10min drive to Lake Louise and the small village/shops a 5 minute walk.Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Parking spaces right outside the room which was great. Two restaurants at the hotel, we had a pasta meal at the Timberwolf on site and it was great. The room was clean. Just needs a bit of an update and there was a lack of plug sockets. Beside that it was a great place for a short stay.

Great location

Convenient for visiting Lake Louise. Hotel is a large complex and despite being near the main highway, traffic noise was not a problem. Very well appointed room and kitchenette facilities. Pool looked good (but was closed for maintenance)

Good stopping off place

I stayed at the Lake Louise Inn for a single night, but it was a great experience! We had our dog with us, and the Inn was the best option in town to accommodate all of us. We were given a free room upgrade, and I was so thankful for that, as it put us on the ground level. I used all the amenities and explored the grounds, which are super comfortable and host amazing views of the surrounding Rockies. The food at Legends and Timberwolf was delicious, and the local beers made the evening special as we chatted with other patrons. 100% would return to the Lake Louise Inn!
