Maison La Saxe

Courmayeur

Me and my partner went for a week in mid March. We went to ski. 
Amazing place to stay; clean, homely, cosy, absolutely stunning views and good value. Our room was cleaned daily and was much larger than expected. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and personable. They drove us to the ski lifts whenever we wanted and collected us again, we just message them on WhatsApp. The ski lifts only a 5 minute drive. 
The walk into the centre from Maison La Saxe is 15/20 minutes. The town was quite quiet and more fancy shops than places to eat/drink but we still managed to eat and drink well. The slopes were quiet too with good snow. There isn’t a huge amount of runs but enough for 5 days I’d say. 
Great breakfast at Maison La Saxe also. Lots on offer and such a sweet, homely experience. 
We were a bit clueless on the area so the staff were so helpful. 
We also visited the Mont Blanc Skyway which is very close by and even got engaged!

Amazing Stay!

La Maison Saxe is an absolute delight — warm, welcoming, and full of character. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was outstanding, with owners who were genuinely friendly and attentive.

The room was cosy, spotlessly clean, and had all the charm you’d expect from a traditional Alpine stay, yet with modern comforts that made it feel extra special. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of fresh and local options to set you up for the day.

The location is perfect too — tucked away just enough to feel peaceful, but only a short stroll into the centre of Courmayeur.

Everything about our stay felt relaxed and cared for. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend La Maison Saxe to anyone visiting the area — it’s a real gem.

A charming gem in Courmayeur, with impeccable service

Fantastic one night stay on our Tour du Mont Blanc. Beautiful, cosy hotel, with tasteful decor, lovely rooms, oozing character from every nook and cranny. 
The staff were fantastic. Big shout out for Raphael, who gave us the biggest welcome possible. Just what was needed after a long and hot day hiking the TMB. He was an absolute life saver. What a wonderful human being. Thank you Raphael. You will never know how much that meant to my wife and I.
