We’ve just returned home after a week here as a family of four, staying in a two-bedroom suite as part of a larger party of 10. I arrived a day later than the rest of my family, but throughout our stay we genuinely had a fantastic experience and thought the hotel was brilliant.

The dining layout and the breakfast and dinner arrangements were so well organised and worked really smoothly. The rooms were large and spacious, and the hotel itself was clean and welcoming.

A special mention goes to several members of staff who, to be honest, made an excellent stay even better: Jade in the bar, Zoltan Darling in reception, Aimirila in the restaurant, and the lady behind reception from the Netherlands whose name I unfortunately can’t recall.

The only real thing I think could be improved on is if there was a basic cold buffet food offering available during the day. When you finished skiing with young kids, it was sometimes too early for dinner to be open and too late to go into town to find food, but that's being super critical!

Other mentions go to the excellent spa/pool, which was a lovely option after a day of skiing. The location is also perfect, with a ski rental place and gondola literally metres away form the hotel.

Overall we really enjoyed our time at the Crystal - however there are a few things that could be done to make it more enjoyable. 
The room was a great size for our family of 3.  Lots of space and storage.  
Food - pretty good for adults, but found the dessert buffet a bit lacklustre.  I've been to other hotels where the dessert buffet is lots of individual servings, where the Crystal is bit portions that everyone one digs in to.  I thought there could have been more choice for the children's buffet too - some of the food wasn't particularly child friendly.  They really want chips, breaded chicken, pizza etc 
The spa was lovely - busy at times, but still great.  A real treat after a day on the slopes. 
My biggest critism is that there were no apre ski snacks at all.  My teenager spent a small fortune at the local supermarket as he had nothing to eat from lunchtime until we went for dinner.  Surely a 4* ski hotel should have ski snacks!  
Location was great for skiing - next to a gondola or a bus stop to other areas.  
Over all great - but please can you add some apre ski snacks!!!
