I go to Adelboden 10 years. For the first time this winter I tried this hotel with my wife. Very clean, excellent location for skiers, the service could be better. The hotel is located in the center about 200 meters from the cable car to the peaks.

This was a good budget choice to stay in Adelboden. The location was the highlight. When we arrived there was no hotel staff so the bartender checked us in and gave us the key. The hotel manager stopped by later that evening to settle the bill. We were traveling in the off season and think we were the only guests, which may explain the odd staffing hours. Our room was clean but had a smokey odor.

This accommodation is an excellent place to stay if you are travelling with low budget. It is really cheap for being Switzerland, but you also should not expect too much.
The rooms are equipped with the essential furniture you find in hostels.
The breakfast is ok for the price you pay. 
The nonsmokers should be aware that the smell of cigarette smoke is always present in the whole building. Luckily we stayed there in summer and we could sleep with open windows. 

Good if travelling with low budget

I would call this property rather hostel than a hotel. I heard various opinions about this place, nevertheless took the risk and visited it with a group of friends. The reason was the short distance to the lift bringing you to wonderful slopes of skiregion Adelboden-Lenk, presence of friends who ensured me that the hotel is clean and well heated :-) And yes, all this was true. Do not expect much though. Hotel has common showers and toilets in the corridor, the rooms have usually 2 bunk beds (sleeps 4 in 1 room). Great for back-packers or law budget travelers - or simply for bunch of friends, who wanted to have fun rather than comfort.
