Zell am See

We stayed here in December 2025 for a skiing trip.  The apartments were great.  Very clean, comfortable, cosy and within easy walking distance to the City Express Lift and the Village.  There was no toaster in the apartment but when we enquired, they promptly went out and bought us one.  I would fully recommend these apartments for a trip to Zell am See.

Excellent

My wife and I are just returning from a weeks stay at Trinker Appartments,appartment 3. We cannot fault the apartment and their facilities. The room/kitchen/ living area was clean, tidy and all you need for a self catering holiday (dishwasher included 😊).  Shower and bathroom also clean with fresh towels provided mid week. 

We used the sauna on a nightly basis and by using the booking schedule you can guarantee a private experience. 

Location wise the apartment is 7 minutes from the train station, 2 minutes walk from town and a 4 minute walk from city express for ski lift. Perfect!

Had a fantastic time in Zell am See and will be back to stay in this very apartment. Would recommend to anyone!

Fantastic stay at Trinker

Even though we were very late from our initial schedule and the hosts had to keep the reception open almost up until the night time they still had the smiling faces welcoming us to the accommodation.

This time we had an entourage of 15 people and we got ourselves 4 rooms, that fit perfectly to our needs. The flexibility of the hosts regarding for instance the payments and checkout was awesome.

We also received a very nice delivery of Easter greetings in the form of chocolate eggs and boiled and colored eggs.

Everything was baked into perfection in order to make it once again a downhill skiing trip of dreams up in the Kitzsteinhorn glacier.

Very friendly staff once again

We visited Zell am See to downhill ski in the glacier. We deliberately came on the off season as the timing was good for us. That also meant a good availability on the rooms and fair pricing of the rooms as well. In Trinker we got the whole house (ok, 1 apartment) for ourselves as there were no one else staying at the same time. That meant that we could easily find room to hang our ski gear drying after the day (though the city had cut the hot water from the heaters) and got to use the sauna as we wished. The view from the apartment 9 windows was towards the street behind which you could see the Zell an See slopes. The ceiling window from kitchen was showing some of the glacier area peaks. We had 3 guys staying in this apartment and there were 2 toilets and a separate shower, 2 bedrooms (1 with doubble bed and one with 2 separate beds) and the kitchen. The place is close enough to the buss terminal where you can get the free ride to the glacier every 30 min. it's also close to the train station and all the restaurants and night life. Though in off season most of the places were closed anyway. There is a grocery store (Spar) quite close and gas station just accross the street.

The whole house for ourselves!

We stayed in apartment number 6, myself, my husband and our daughter.  The apartment was lovely and clean, fully equipped kitchen area with tv and sofa bed and also one large double bedroom , with shower room.  All in all an excellent stay, very friendly owners, excellent location being literally a 2 minute walk into the centre.  Big comfortable bed, plenty of hot water and the apartment was lovely and warm.  Garage just across the road where you can also buy your basics food wise.  We stayed as non skiers and found enough to do in our weeks stay.  Trained into Salzburg for a day and also spend an lovely afternoon at the Tauern Spa.  No need to book, just turn up and pay on the day.  Found eating out and booze cheaper than where we live in Guernsey.  Plenty of snow and the lake was just about frozen over by the end of our holiday.  Zell am See is beautiful, well worth a visit, very friendly people too.  All in all we had a fantastic holiday.
