Beautiful Guesthouse /Aparthotel in Ellmau. Had a week ski holiday with 3 friends staying in a very well appointed apartment. Three bedrooms (2 with balconies), one bathroom and additional WC, excellently equipped kitchen, coffee machine, dish washer, fridge freezer, oven and hob and loads more. Huge living and dining area with surrounding balcony. Convenient ski locker at the property, sauna, elevator. Breakfast was €19 pp, maybe a bit steep if having it every day but we opted for just one day. Usual continental fayre, well presented and fresh. Eggs available upon request. We had little dealings with the Lady we assumed was the owner but she was helpful and pleasant and towels changed when needed and recycling removed from the bins provided. All in all an excellent place to stay and when I return to the area I'd definitely book here again!

Brilliant apartment, everything you would need for a self catering stay (although we ate out in fab restaurants every night). Loads of hot water and really warm accommodation. The owner was so helpful. This apartment is close to ski hire, restaurants and walkable to the slopes. We used the slopes on the Astberg side as we were a mixed ski ability group. Very quiet slopes with minimal queueing. Overall a fabulous holiday.

Dear C9121KErobertg, you made a booking through booking.com, your wish was to get a appartement south side. This is what you get. . You arrived on a Friday - your appartemnt was the only one - which was free on Friday. We told you that you could change the apartement on Saturday, but you prefered to look for another Appartement in another region . We told you that you have to pay the full amount, because on our homepage and also on booking homepage, you had the informatiion that their is a construction building on the neighbour property. Booked a Superior One bedroom apartment (For Jan 2023) with balcony and views of the surrounding mountains as described on both Booking.com and Apparthotel Tom Sojer websites. On arrival we were given room 102 (South Side), the view from the balcony was not as described (putting it mildly - See photos). We asked to be moved but our request was declined, we checked out, after finding alternative accommodation but got charged the full amount by Apparthotel Tom Sojer.

I took this to the financial ombudsman who agreed that under section 75 of the Customer Credit Act 1974 that the accommodation had been mis-sold. 

I have waited until the dispute has been resolved before posting this review. I can't comment on the other hotel rooms, but I found the attitude of the hotel owner mercenary; before we arrived at the alternative accommodation the full amount had been charged to my Credit Card as I was registered as a no show.

Since my complaint both Booking.com and the Hotel have changed the description of the Superior One bedroom apartment to " Balcony with partial views of the surrounding mountains", but to be honest the only view from room 102 is of an adjacent building.

Book with caution and always use a Credit Card.
