Chalet Hotel Du Fornet

Val d'Isere

An exceptional chalet! Not to mention the caring service. The view is charming, the localisation is the best (litteraly at the bus stop of the free shuttle that gets you all accross the station, and also right at the bottom of a ski slope and cable car).

Roomy bedrooms and bathrooms, and it manages to keep the cosiest atmosphere even though there's like 6 bedrooms !!

Oooh the SPA and SAUNA is a MUST for afterski !!

Great times in the cosiest place !

Immaculate chalet, ideal accommodation for our family group of 6 couples. Lovely breakfast; hot tub and sauna were excellent after a day's skiing. Situation in Le Fornet was great, a couple of minutes walk from the cablecar and the free bus service stops just outside the door. Host Frederic was very welcoming and helpful.

Perfect chalet for our group

Had a fabulous Easter ski holiday in the wonderful Chalet La Marsa in Le Fornet.

Part of a group of three families consisting of six adults and five kids, the chalet was the ideal size.  Rooms, all en-suite, are spacious and immaculate, as are the lounge and dining areas.  Hot tub was also excellent and well used to rest weary legs after a day on the slopes!

We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, set up each morning by the lovely Sarah and Frederic who ensured our stay was extremely comfortable with any minor issues dealt with promptly.  Also had two evening meals provided by the staff - Raclette and Hot Stones.  The rest of the week we "self-catered" using Huski who provide over-ready meals and whom I'd also strongly recommend. Kitchen is a great size and well stocked with utensils.  Chalet also has a useful washing and drying room and ample ski and boot storage below.

The location of the chalet is ideal with either short walk to the main gondola in le Fornet (which never has any queues) or a ride on the free-bus which has a stop right outside the front door.  Buses run frequently during the day and through the evening. Le Fornet is so quiet at night its perfect for a family stay.

We booked online and all communications with the owner were prompt, clear and very friendly.

Overall, would thoroughly recommend this chalet and all our party agreed we'd happily return on our next trip to Val d'Isere.
