Morillon

We spent 4 days in this accomodation. Nathalie is lovely, always ready  to help us and to suggest what to visit in the area. She is a great chef and every night she cooked delicious traditional  food for us ( I was with my husband and my daughter 25 ). Breakfast is good. The room is big enough , with wifi working.( One more lamp would be useful in the hall). Skiroom was ok with heater inside for the boots. The position is excellent  , 50 metres from the telecabine for the Grand Massif area.

A lovely " gite"

This Chalet should have been excellent. Centre of the village, near the lifts, and seemingly offering bed, breakfast and evening meals - we thought we’d really lucked out. Especially with the other positive reviews on here.

Reality was the opposite. The host, Natalie, was unfriendly from the start, with a curt tour of the rooms and that the breakfast time was inflexible. Breakfast was very basic, including one croissant each, 2 slices of baguette each and only one pot of coffee between four (that was one cup each). We were disappointed that, despite the listing and reviews, there was no option of evening meals at the Chalet. It was also odd to have no availability for hot drinks post skiing, or even access to facilities to make them ourselves (or even just tap water).

Rooms were clean and were turned over each day, including folding of clothes into suitcases. We weren’t comfortable with this latter aspect, feeling it somewhat an invasion of our privacy. 

However good this accommodation looks in its access to facilities, it’s not worth the price for being made to feel unwelcome for a weekend. 



Unfriendly & Unwelcome

So please to have found this hidden gem of a B&B. We have stayed in Morillon several times as we love the ski area - brilliant for a weekend, just an hour from Geneva Airport. It was our first time in this chalet and Nathalie was a fabulous host. The location is excellent, so close to the gondola and handy for the restaurants in town. Room was very comfortable and the continental breakfast was excellent. We would definitely recommend this place... We will be back!

Perfect ski weekend

We stayed for 4 nights in January and found this B&B to be perfect. The room we had was finished to a very high standard and had the most cosy bed I have ever slept in, bordered on 3 sides by wood, I should have taken a picture to put on here! Natalie was lovely, very friendly and helpful. Location wise, you put on your skis next to the house and glide about 20 metres to the ski lift, it could not be more convenient! There is a superb little restaurant on the doorstep too, La Puzze which served superb pizza and traditional mountain fare too. We will be back to La Source next year.
