Obergurgl

A fantastic week skiing in the Obergurgl-Hochgurgl region made even better by the immaculate service and hospitality of the Angerer Alm team. Every staff member is friendly and welcoming, making you feel at home. The highlight of our trip was the food which was incredible. A huge thank you to the talented kitchen team for providing such exquisite meals everyday. A wide variety of options were available at dinner and there was a buffet-style breakfast. Wellness facilities were excellent with quiet areas to relax and unwind after a busy day. Location was very convenient, only a 3 min walk over the road to the chairlift. I would definitely recommend to others and we would certainly return. Thank you Angerer Alm team for a delightful stay.

Fantastic stay at Hotel Angerer Alm

The Hotel was outstanding from start to finish. The staff in particular were especially attentive and at the same time friendly and approachable. The food was outstanding even for a fussy eater like myself and there was lots of it. Most of the other quests seemed to be requlars  
The location is beutiful, being a small situation on the slopes,but not recomended for apres. The hire shops were equaly as efficiant.
We love the resort the lack of queues, quiet slopes, they were almost deserted after 3, and good resuatants.

Lovely hotel with the best staff

We just finished a week over new year at this amazing hotel. 
It’s location is fantastic right across the street from the “grosser karbahn “ lift station- 3 min walk from the ski room to the lift . There are some stairs to climb to the lift just as an FYI . There are some ski school tickets are also bought from the same station if not prepaid . The ski rental shop is also across the street about a min walk .

The staff and food were out highlight of the hotel. Breakfast buffet was delicious with plenty of options for young and old . The 5 course dinner was great and with small portions doable every night . The kids menu as the usual kids typical food (chicken nuggets , spaghetti , fish fingers … ). You chose your meal options every morning for the starter and main course , the other courses are set but you can opt not to have them if you wish.  
The drinks are on the expensive side for my liking and I wax surprised to have been charged for tab water but that’s the same in every hotel. 

We only had lunch once at the hotel, which was delicious as all meals but expensive in my eyes. 

The room was lovley and big with a seperate sitting area for hubby and me to have some chill time after our son (9y) went to bed. 
The room and the whole hotel was very warm , so we just kept the window open all day to cool it down as we like sleeping cold . 

The new years meal was also special and 10 small courses but took from 7 pm (earliest start of dinner each day )   Until 10:30pm, which was a little late for our liking but does help stretch the evening until the midnight fireworks . 

Skischool was a little different to what we know of in Norway and France in that you don’t have to full 5 days you can just do 1 day if you want. This means the group might be different every day and also the instructor can change . We don’t like that as this means the instructor don’t know the level or improvement the kid has . 

We would definitely return .
