This is probably the cheapest place to stay in Vail. It’s older and tired but comfortable and clean. Enjoyed the pool, saunas and hot tub. Didn’t bother with the breakfast, it is pathetic. Room key cards kept resetting and not working which was annoying to keep going down to reception . The room was disappointing as we expected a kitchen but not even a microwave in there. It did have a tiny fridge. No ac, you are told to open the windows at night and use the fan, however our window faced the Highway meaning it was super noisy with the window open at night.Great location as you can walk everywhere from here, so central plus on the bus route. The bus is free. No complaints, glad to find somewhere we could afford as everything here seems to be extremely high prices.

Steve who is the front counter person not only did not say good morning to me which is fine but lied to me about not having oranges for days again didnt care. but when i asked him why ho was so nice to the next lady with a black dog, he tole me to stop being whatever and I may have to gog to my room.

The person that helped us when we were cking in was very rude.  She went over the bill and said we were charged for a third party reservation and I said well I called your hotel and booked and she said well we show u used Expedia and I said no I don’t use any of those and she just said oh I don’t know but you owe.  Long story short she wouldn’t listen and could care less.  The next day I talked to someone else when cking out and she said oh you’re not the first to tell us this. So why is this continuing?  Listen to your customers!

Bad receptionist!

Overall fail. On an extended stay and here we are only on night 2 and just NOPE. We live in COLORADO and come to Vail a few times a year and would not ever stay here or recommend anyone stay here. 

*Positive: CONVENIENCE. Location and 24 hour desk. 

*Positive: EXCERCIZE. Workout room was sufficient.

*Meh: STAFF. Initial contact and check in interaction was just ok. They seem unhappy.

*Meh: CLEANLINESS. Just everything needs to be updated. Carpet, furnishings, bathroom heater...my shower drained super slow and things just weren't working properly. Very dated.

*Negative: MISLEADING COSTS. Visit was booked through 3rd party through corporate card and was told on check in there was a "resort fee" ($35 per day) that we could wait to pay until I got it sorted. But the next day, they had charged my incidentals card without permission instead of the card the room was booked under. No attempt to call me. Charge was NOT AUTHORIZED. 

*Negative: SHADY. When I called the front desk to ask the charge be reversed, I was met with unprofessional attitude and outright nasty staff member. She owned up to being the one who had just charged my card without speaking to me and she refused to reverse the charge per my request. Several times.

*Negative: NOISY. Not a wink of sleep...so noisy...elevator, helicopters, interstate traffic, people walking  and talking loudly...NEVER take a room that ends in *01...you will hear the elevator bank all night and it clearly needs updating.

*Negative: UNCOMFORTABLE. Entire floor was super HOT...my room was at least 80 or more every night...I had the thermostat turned all the way down with no effect

*Negative: UNSECURE. Bolt lock on my room was inoperable...door seems to be in disrepair/almost crooked with gaps all around. Later walked out the side door exit which was propped open. Not feeling very safe here.

*Negative: ACCESSIBILITY. Wintertime parking lot full of snow and ice and hard to navigate on foot...be CAREFUL!

Sorry but it is the hard truth if you book through a 3rd party expect 3rd rate treatment. That is my experience. Not good.

Can't Recommend. Negatives outweigh Positives.

This hotel really earns its ranking as #25 of the 30 hotels in the area. The only real selling point is that indeed you can walk to both Vail Village and Lionshead Village. Other than that, the chemical smell when you walk in (for the entire time) feeling like you are going to die of carbon monoxide poisoning, ridiculously low ceilings on the first floor, dogs barking in the rooms around you, bad snow/ice care in the walking area outside of the hotel (up a slick driveway to get to the sidewalk), the "village view" room that was 100% of the hospital next door - the list goes on. Friendly and nice staff but this place is a dump and an expensive one at that.
